Kaden's BRAND NEW computer crapped out last weekend. It sucked, he had to spend all week in the computer lab. The holidays have now put him way behind on his homework.

We are at my parents' house. We spent Thanksgiving with my family in Vancouver which was great, as always. I love them so much. Thanksgiving is the big family gathering with my Dad's side of the family. We all yell, and laugh loud, and we all tease mercilessly. We played Pictionary (a family tradition). Kaden and I ended up on the same team (by drawing numbers). I didn't realize until then how connected our extreme amount of time together has made us. We had no trouble guessing each others' drawings. The very last draw was "FORTUNE COOKIE" and I made a little scribble, started to cross it out, and Kaden said, totally as a joke, "FORTUNE COOKIE!"...and we won the game!! Then I learned how to play a game called Rummikub (or Rummy Tummy, as I prefer to call it), with my dad, Laila's boyfriend Kevin, and my cousin Amy. I won two rounds of that and would've won the third, but I overlooked a move. I AM A WINNER!!!!!!! I love games.

I am drinking a beer at the computer. Kaden is studying in my sister's room. My parents are watching a shoot-em-up Western. My sister (Laila) and her boyfriend are at his house setting up the new TV he paid so-much-money for at "Black Friday" sales.

We (my Mom, Laila, and I) got up at 4 to stand in line at Wal-Mart to get Kaden a $29 printer/scanner. Victoria was txting me, she was still up! I love and miss Victoria soooooooooooo much. Must see her ASAP! The printers were stacked up almost directly in front of the entry, we were back in the car and going to Fred Meyer's by 5:05. Then we shopped for nine hours. WTF????? I bought so many clothes I don't need. It is absurd. I did it to spend Quality Time with my mom and sister (I hadn't seen my mom since September), but they are bad influences! I did get work shoes and running shoes that I needed, and navy blue dickies that I really wanted for work. And super-duper cheap shorts and skirts at Old Navy (I'm talking like, $1.99). BUT STILL. We made three separate trips, stopping back at my aunt & uncle's to eat leftovers, then going out again. It's nuts, but it's my family!

Life is good in Bellingham again, I love Bellingham again, and I love my job! I think it helps that we seem to have quit going to bars, so we have quit being disappointed by them.
