[Phone - Mid-Afternoon
Peebles has been MIA since the Reavers hit. Even after everything went back to normal, even after she finally came back... she didn't have it in her to leave the house. Is that abnormal for her? Yes, certainly. But... she'd never been through something like this before. Being in danger? Sure, that happened basically constantly. She'd even been broken apart once. That time, though? She'd been possessed, and frozen in a block of ice. She hadn't been properly conscious, she hadn't really felt a thing until she came out of surgery!
This time, though? She'd felt it all. She'd felt the flesh being stripped from her bones. She'd felt her limbs break and tear. She'd felt her own spark go out.
And that scared the piss out of her.
But she's not the sort of close herself off forever; she lives for others, after all.
And, so, on the second day, she finally picks up the phone.]
I'm starting to wonder if this isn't more a case of mass hallucinations than mass abductions.
[Wow uh yeah don't bother with preambles bonnie just get right to it]
There's no way the town could have been annihilated in an instant, and restored just as quickly, right? Like, even with magic, that's way too huge of a scale!
[She sounds unconvinced, though; she knows it's damn well possible to cause destruction on that scale - it happened in the Mushroom War, after all - and... with enough wizards working together, or advanced-enough technology, reconstruction might well be possible, too.
But she wants to escape that memory. The memory that's kept her from sleeping, that's worn down her traditional optimism.
She wants to believe.]
...at least my hair's finally back to normal. Silver lining in every cloud, right?
[She gives a nervous chuckle, and then hangs up.]
[ooc: being cannibalized messed her the FUCK up, so. she's gonna be kind-of-not-herself for a little bit. Also, feel free to go to action if you want your character to just sort of kick down the door get on the floor, everybody walk the dinosaur and punch/hug/yell at her. I just don't have an interesting prompt for it, sorry. :c]
