Two very good thinky (totally a word) posts regarding the rescinded invitation of E. Moon as guest of honor at Wiscon:

The only way I would be willing to give the con a try again would be if WisCon's leadership proves itself actually progressive and inclusive, and concerned about the safety of more than privileged white women.
2. from yeloson: Celebration is not validation
...the idea that there's more to feminism than simply saying "Women are AWESOME", that, you know, you might actually have to negotiate power structures and policy, that you might have to call out people in your community, that people you look up to might be problematic to the point of not being able to participate in all the happy events...
This hasn't crossed their minds at all.
