That's just gonna have to wait a while.
I'm back. We had a wonderful/fun/romantic time with it being the two of us, but we came back to bad news from more than one family member. The less said about that, the better. I had a nice birthday too, so thanks to everyone who sent me messages or cards or mentioned me in LJ posts.
Turns out that even though we had internet at the cabin, I didn't have very much time to get online. So, a quick rundown:
YULETIDE
I received the more you try to erase me, aka LOL!YE. Oh kids, this is a Hip-hop RPF fic in which Kanye West is ridiculous and arrogant and completely hilarious in his attempts to court Lupe Fiasco. Also features Lupe/Rihanna among others, and basically, BASICALLY, HIP-HOP RPF HAS ARRIVED, OK.
PRETTY LIGHTS ACTORFIC
And then, someone gifted me with bittersweet Ben/Claudia in Learning the Rules of You and Me, which is awesome and a lovely interpretation of my prompt, which I believe was something to the effect of blurring the lines. ANYWAY, this is so close to how I see them, always "on", fooling others so skillfully that they began to fool themselves.
OTHER THINGS
Did anyone watch the Disney parade on Christmas morning? DID YOU SEE Anika Noni Rose with her fine self performing Down in New Orleans? Still loving this movie, btw. The only reason I left the Disney outlet store empty-handed was because they'd sold out of most of the Tiana and/or Naveen merch.
I'm incredibly sad about having to return to work tomorrow, so I'm going to try to dig into the Yuletide and PLF archives and catch up with what I've missed at the PATF spam/party post.
