Starting over...
A lot can change in a year. I was sitting here reading all the ridiculous things that I had posted and finally decided to just delete everything and start over. Things were pretty bad for me for a long time, but I didn't want anyone to know... I was embarrassed I suppose. Anyway, to make a long story short, I am now 22 and divorced- and as happy as I've ever been. I made a foolish decision when I was younger and I paid for it in a lot of ways. Now, however, things are very good- I will be graduating in December with a major in Philosophy and a minor in Computer Information Systems, I have a roof apartment right off campus, and I am now in a wonderfully happy and healthy relationship with the best man I have ever met. :) So yeah, a lot can change in a year.
In other news, school is out for the summer but I'm still studying. I suppose I'm just a geek like that! lol I am doing some prep-work for an independent study I intend to do in the fall with Dr. Garrett on the hermeneutic tradition in German philosophy. At the moment, most of my reading has been in Gadamer, but Dr. G has recommended some other philosophers for me to research as well. I am still working out at Mammoth Cave- currently I am employed at the bookstore, but I hope to be transferring back into federal employment in the Visitor Use division... I'll let ya'll know how it goes. :)
Vinnie (my boyfriend) and I are going on a cruise in August to Haiti, Jamacia, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel Mexico! We're going to be gone for about a week and some of the excursions we're planning on doing include a dolphin swim, hiking Dunns River falls, and touring the Mayan ruins. I'll try to figure out how to post pictures on here by them so that you guys can see everything.
Well, I'm going shopping with my mom and gramma today and should probably start getting ready so yeah... I'll write more later.
