I have many vices, as all of you know, and one of those vices is using retail therapy as a way to brighten up my sad days.
Today, I made two stops.
First, Southside. Went to Kenneth Cole and Sisley. Looked at a 200.00 bag at Kenneth Cole. Thought for a second about getting it. Then used my judgment and decided against it. Tried on a shirt, bad fit. Then to Sisley, where I got a black corduroy jacket and a purple zip up sweater, both on sale. Spent half of the money I brought.
Then, Shadyside. Went to Starbucks, got a coffee. Walked to Jake and Mabel. Tried on an adorable shirt, which was on sale, and I couldn't read the price tag cause there were so many stickers showing the new marked down price. 185.00 135.00 111.00 and finally, the saleswoman told me the final price, which happened to be just in my budget. So i got it.
I realize this money was poorly spent on frivolous materialistic things and I could have gotten more things if I used my money more wisely. But, I'm happy with my purchases and have gotten over my bad weekend. I was even happy when it started pouring down rain on the drive home. In fact, I started smiling.
