“Malfoy! Where are you?”
“We’re going to be late meeting the others, y’know!”
“Fuck!” Lucius muttered under his breath, his hands pausing along the soft curves of a pale body. “This is the last thing I need.”
“You can go if you want,” said Narcissa breathlessly, using her legs around Lucius’ torso to pull him closer to her. “They’re waiting for you.”
“No,” replied Lucius firmly, grasping Narcissa’s hips before thrusting into her again.
Narcissa let out a quiet moan before arching into Lucius, who was now pushing her against the corner of the wall again. “They’ll be wondering where you’ve been.”
“I think they could have figured it out by now.”
“Hmm?”
“Nothing,” recovered Lucius, silently cursing himself. “It doesn’t matter.”
In truth, this really did matter to him. It mattered that he was in the Restricted Section of the library with Narcissa Black, of all people. They had really never spoken before until they met here, coincidentally. Lucius quickly knew there was something between them as soon as they reached for the same book of Potion Properties exactly one week ago. He was certain Narcissa could feel the sparks run through her arm like he did, just from the simple brush of the hand. Why else would she have smiled at him with a wink before walking away? Why was she there in that section every time Lucius was?
“Lucius…” a stern voice broke through his thoughts.
“What?”
“Don’t give me that,” warned Narcissa, who began to push him away from her. “What were you saying before?”
“I didn’t say anything,” answered Lucius, trying to wrap his arms around Narcissa reassuringly. Nevertheless, he finally pulled out of her after being shoved back into the stiff spines of hard-covered books.
“Tell me,” demanded Narcissa, crossing her arms over her breasts tensely.
“What are you talking about?” asked Lucius, slightly agitated. “Can we just-”
“What exactly would your friends have figured out, Lucius?”
“That I’ve been busy.”
“Busy? Busy doing what? Homework? Maybe other girls?”
“What?”
“Do you really think I don’t know what you tell your friends?” questioned Narcissa, gathering her clothes before she began putting them on. “Your reputation says everything.”
“Don’t you dare start with-”
“Oh, shut up!”
“You did not just-”
“Yes,” interjected Narcissa angrily. “I did tell you shut up. Now listen to me for once!”
“What the hell are you on about?”
“Lucius, what exactly do you have to say for yourself for boasting about the wonderful sex you have with each and every girl you encounter?”
“Excuse me?” inquired Lucius, frowning up at Narcissa.
“Don’t give me that crap. I hear you, Regulus and the rest talk. It’s all about sex, isn’t it?”
“You have no idea what you are talking about,” said Lucius defensively, snatching his clothes up from the chair next to him. He clearly wasn’t going to get rid of his erection anytime soon. “Here you are, making assumptions-”
“Assumptions?” exclaimed Narcissa. “Please! Everyone can hear you lot from the next table over! It just happens that we are at the same table, so it’s impossible not to hear all the rubbish-”
“So they think I’m with some girl, yes,” admitted Lucius, who was now buttoning up his shirt. “What does that matter? Let them think what they want.”
“Is this what you do?” queried Narcissa suspiciously, smoothing down her skirt. “Do you just pick a girl every week? Who will it be next? My sister?”
“She’s not my type anyway,” muttered Lucius stiffly, zipping up the fly of his trousers.
“You really do live up to your reputation,” stated Narcissa, disgusted. “A reputation as a sadistic bastard. Always tossing one girl to the side, just because you see something better. Isn’t that right?”
It was when Lucius looked directly into her eyes that he knew she was wrong. There was something about those blue eyes that made his heart freeze. And it wasn’t because of the menacing stare Narcissa was giving him. He could see a glimpse of yearning; something he had never seen in anyone else before. If he were honest, he would say that he just wanted girls for the sex. Except his heart was now telling him that there was more to Narcissa than that.
She was a great fuck, of course. The way she moaned and clutched tightly onto Lucius made him feel powerful. Until now, he was sure she was like the rest of the girls, who never questioned his authority. But here was Narcissa, talking back to his face. Asking him what he was doing. Lucius wasn’t sure himself.
Looking into her eyes again, Lucius couldn’t help but plant a gentle kiss onto Narcissa’s lips. It was the only thing he could think of doing after being yelled at, as usual. When their lips touched, he cupped Narcissa’s face with his hands, slightly tipping his head to the side.
This felt right. It wasn’t like the rough kisses he was used to giving, or the really soft ones that he could barely feel. Lucius pressed his lips more firmly to Narcissa’s, who reciprocated the action. He could feel the smooth skin beneath his fingers as his thumbs gently stroked her face. This was fervor. Or if it wasn’t, it was still something, at least more than what he had in the previous weeks.
“What does that tell you?” asked Lucius as he finally pulled away.
“I’m not sure,” replied Narcissa, slightly stunned by the sincere look on Lucius’ face. Surely, she was dreaming, as Lucius never did sincerity.
“I want to be a pirate.”
“Pardon?”
“I want you right here in my arms," Lucius whispered into Narcissa’s ear, pulling her close to trail kisses along her neck. “I don’t want to ever let you go…”
“Wha- “
“I want to kidnap you away from this place. I want to sail the seas with you and take you around the world. Just like a pirate would for a lady.”
“Do you, now?” murmured Narcissa, letting Lucius’ hands travel up her blouse.
“I do.”
“Trying to woo the girl, are you?” said a voice from the next bookcase over.
Both Lucius and Narcissa backed away from each other immediately, staring at one another with wide eyes before turning toward the right. Between the gaps of stacked books on the shelves were Regulus and Rodolphus, snickering. Lucius pursed his lips together, shoving his hands in his pockets.
“What are you two doing here?” he questioned stiffly, narrowing his eyes at his friends.
“Didn’t want to miss this,” replied Regulus, shrugging.
“Excuse me for one moment, will you, Narcissa?”
“As you wish.”
With that, Lucius went around the bookcase to drag Regulus and Rodolphus by their shirt collars toward the far side of the Restricted Section. Backing them against the wall, he crossed his arms over his chest, waiting impatiently.
“What?” asked Rodolphus, frowning.
“Explain.”
“What do you mean?”
“Explain why I would find you two here when I am busy trying to please my girlfriend-”
“Girlfriend?” exclaimed Regulus. “Well why didn’t you say so? I thought she was just one of your fucks.”
“The best fuck I ever had,” corrected Lucius, eying Regulus sternly. And I believe it is best not to expose so much information all at once.”
“When did you ask her?” Rodolphus persisted with interest. “I never thought this day would come when Lucius Malfoy would actually have a-”
“Shh! Would you be quiet?” hissed Lucius, putting a finger to his lips. “I didn’t ask her yet. I’ll do that when I believe it is the right time to do so.”
“And of course, when you do ask when the right time comes, I would be happy to accept,” came Narcissa’s voice from behind.
Lucius quickly turned around to find Narcissa smiling at him coyly. And when he opened his mouth, nothing came out. The way her blond hair fell upon her shoulders, the way her arms snaked around his waist as she embraced him…Narcissa was just intoxicating. And he couldn’t think. Or even breathe…almost.
“Narcissa…”
“And I didn’t think you had a heart at all,” was the only reply before he was engaged in a passionate kiss.
It was only fair for Lucius to give in as he kissed her back. Opening one eye to glance at his friends, he could see them grinning at him deviously before scurrying away. He could only smirk. They would know him well enough to say that Lucius gave his heart to those who deserved it. To those he truly loved. And perhaps Narcissa would be one of those people who became a part of him.
