*claps* yay! i knew you would love ensemble. the conditioning is easier now, i love that. i work my abs at home, too, so that is probably part of it.

and to work your lower abs, do this: lay on your back with your head near something stable (i use my bedframe, but you could use a couch, chair, etc.) grip the stable object with both hands above your head. bend your knees so that your feet are flat on the floor. lift your feet and point them - now your toes are touching the floor. lift your lower back off the floor and crunch your lower abs, bringing your knees in towards your chest. lower your toes back to the floor, barely letting your toes touch it before crunching up again. i can barely do fifty of these suckers, so don't feel weak if you suck at them. your abs are tense the whole time, that's why they're so hard. you could also do leg lifts, which are essentially the same thing only with your legs out straight, but those are hard because you have to keep your back on the floor for them to do any good, and i can only keep my back down for i think ten reps. :/ i hope that helps! :)

angie is teaching very differently this year than she taught last year. i really like what she is doing, gradually introducing you guys to all of the inner workings of dance and equipment. i never got that. they told me to put my arms here, jump on this count, spin this flag, and never really gave me a reason. *shrugs* that makes it all the greater this year, though. :D

i don't care when i get my middle splits, i just want to get them, dammit! :D which reminds me - it's stretching time. hooray!

I knew I'd like it too. :)
I'll have to try that, I so need to get my muscles back. I can't wait until weight training next year, I LOVE weight training.
The first day of conditioning was so hard, but now it's not so bad. I wonder if Angie will increase the reps...?
I feel like I'm already behind with flag though, it's such a new thing. I WILL get a pop toss on both sides by Thursday!
Gina, you already have your middle splits! I'm still three inches away, time to break out the ankle weights!
