RULE NUMBER ONE IN THE PARENT GUIDE TO UNDERSTANDING A TEENAGER:

1) When a teenager is taking a shower, DO NOT interrupt them!!!

I could write a book, for real.
I have been refraining from taking a shower this entire week to shave my legs because I have tried to be considerate and conserve water for the other family members that I am living with in the tiny little rental house I'm currently living in. However, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta a do, and if that means shaving after a week of not shaving, It MUST be done. KACIA EVEN KNEW MY LEGS WERE LIKE A FORREST.

But, being the considerate daughter I am, I asked my mom if it would be okay if I took a longer shower this evening. She said it was fine, and that she would just shower in the morning. So, I get into the shower and I'm all excited because I will actually get to take a nice warm shower. NOT 5 MINUTES INTO THE SHOWER my mom storms in, pulls back the curtain and says "YOUR USING ALL THE HOT WATER!!!!!!"

Politely , I say "Excuse me, I'm taking the shower you said I could take" & she responds "I DIDNT SAY FOR 20 MINUTES!!!" and I go "Mom, it's been 5 minutes" and she goes "STEP OUT OF THE SHOWER RIGHT NOW, AND DONT TALK BACK TO ME , YOUNG LADY!!!" So pretty much, I step out of the shower with my half shaven legs, soaking wet.

Great mom, thanks for putting me in a bad mood. But I'm trying to remind myself that atleast I'm lucky enough to take a hot shower. Some people would give anything to be able to take a hot shower. As much as I complain, I do have to admit that I'm being super selfish. God has blessed me in so many ways, and I take for granted so much.

I guess I'll just have to shave tomorrow. I cannot WAIT until I have my new bathroom.
