READ THIS PLEASE.

Even if you never read my LJ, please just read this. All of it. It happened today to me, and it's a true story.

Picture this: you're 21 years old, you have a three week old baby, and you've saved up $13.00 for you, you're boyfriend and your baby to see a movie. Okay, remember that scenerio for when I finish. Today I went to the movies with Nick. It was good and bad. The good, I got to be with Nick. The bad, I wont see him until school starts most likely. I was seriously stressing. I was stressing because we may not get the hosue I want, I don't know if I got an A or a B in geometry, but most importantly because I was not going to see Nick for such a long time. Outside WPV we stood by the pay phone feeling sorry for ourselves that we wouldn't see eachother for a WHOLE month! That's when this guy came over and asked if he could borrow a nickel for the pay phone. I looked over and a woman was standing there holding what looked like to be a baby no less that a month old. I gave him a quarter. Later, I told Nick that I felt really bad that I hadn't let the guy use my cell phone. Then my dad picked me up, asked how the movie was, the usual. Then he told us that we would have to stop for gas. At the gas station, I took the oppurtunity to call Nick and tell him that I still felt bad about the family that need to borrow a nickel. He told me not to worry about it, but at the EXACT same time the family walked by in front of us. I yelled for my dad to get in the car, I don't even know if he finsihed paying or not, but I told him that was the couple. We pulled over to them and asked if they needed a ride home. They graciously accepted, and they put the baby , Jayda, in Christian's car seat. The mom, named Anna I believe, told me how Jayda was only 3 weeks old. Anna was so beautiful, like genuinely gorgeous, and you would have never guessed that she had a baby three weeks prior. She was only 21. When we got to there house, we realized that it wasn't far from our own home. We wished them a Happy fourth of July. We often get caught up in the daily stresses of the world. School, family, boyfriends, making sure nobody hates us, if we have enough money to get that cute pair of jeans we wanted, and passing the permit test... but we often neglect to recognize the less fortunate. The people in the world who would LOVE to have a car, even if they weren't able to drive it without there parents. The people that God dealt a rough hand to-- the people who are only 21 and have a baby three weeks old. It really puts things in perspective-- atleast it did for me. I hope you guys are having a good summer. God Bless <3
