i have officially become a libraryrat. i go there all the time. i'm kinda obsessed with going too. sad. the best is when we manage to get a group study room and we can talk and make noise and do whatever we want. oh yeah, and study too. my pet peeve has become people who occupy a group study room and there is no group to speak of. just one singular person. grr. i had this brilliant idea to make a sign that says "get some friends" and stick it on the window to these annoying people who occupy an entire group study room with no group. i decided not to, because here, there are people with no friends.

anyways, moving on, i just put in another marathon library sesh with angus, raena, and prowler. we just came back from late nite. good stuff. studying always makes me want to eat legendary chicken tenders and mozzarella disks.

i am rambling, but i felt an urge to update. i've been studying for my psych midterm on friday. i hope i do better than the last one. other than that, the work load this quarter has been surprisingly manageable. i don't know what it is, but all the study skills that i had last quarter have become amplified to a greater extent. maybe it's not study skills so much, but time management. for the most part, i manage to get to bed when i'm tired. and that's a good thing. and i guess all my classes are starting to grow on me, which is also a good thing considering we're in the seventh (out of tenth) week of the quarter.

the weather recently has s-u-c-k-e-d. almost makes me want to retract my statement where i laughed at all the other kids who don't go to school in cali. almost. but then i remembered that as bad as i think it is here, it's nowhere near how bad it is in hmm...say...chicago, or st. louis, or boston, or durham or providence. so haha. but seriously, it's been raining and today, i seriously thought we were going to have a tornado or something. the wind was gusting up so bad, that when i was riding my bike, it was keeping me in places. that's okay, you can laugh. i do ride my bike to class. but so does everyone else here. i never thought i would come to be friends with a bike and rely on it as a primary mode of transport, but what can i say...things change. we can't be spoiled all the time with our beemers.

anywho, this past weekend was fun. i saw my sis and my dad on saturday, and we went out to eat at p.f. changs, shopped in the stanford mall, and i have a new orchid plant. and it's so happy...it's bloomed twice already since saturday. i had a special dinner at a nice restaurant with my special little valentine and we shared a bottle of champagne later that night. it was a really nice day, probably the nicest valentine's day i've ever had. the rest of the weekend was relatively uneventful. lots of sleeping and watching movies and alcohol from my refrigerator stocked only with alcohol.

okay, i think i'm spent. this is a long entry. back to studying psych for the midterm that is still 3 days away.
