more wedding stuff under the cut, slightly updated
Location: Wine and Roses Country estate in Auburn. Im pretty fucking set on this place ;^;
Time:3pm till whenever? sounds about right to me
Date: October 31st 2010 (halloween)
Attire:Semi formal
colours: olive, cream, blush(mainly with taupe/brown and that blueish green that bottles are)
Theme/style: Rustic, Romantic and Retro. I want the whole feel of the weddingt to be really warm and glowy and romantic but not in a fancy uptight way... in a sweet cozy rustic vintage way. and becuase of the style of my dress and hair, and because who i am there will be lots of vintage elements.
Cake:I want it to be the same decorations as the cake one the left (the leafy garlands and wreath) but with the hand applied buttercream style of the right cake and without the pearls. Just straight plain cream cheese frosting smeared nicely on, and then the garlands and the wreath, with a cream, not green bow.
Jon and I are seriously considering having funfetti as our cake flavor, we both like it and its possible cause my wonderful professional baker of a step mother susan is making it for us!
Music: Im still fairly lost on music because i would still like to have really fun/romantic and timless music... not contemporary and not just the wedding march.
So far this is what i have
Processional (When party members come down the isle): Everly Brothers-Let it be me
Brides processional(When I walk down the isle): Everly Brothers-Unchained melody
Recessional (after we kiss and walk back down the isle) - Mid summers nights dream OP 61
First dance: Cat power-sea of love
and maybe like.. sam cooke's 'you send me' somewhere in there...
im not really set. i could probably do you send me for the processional, and then let it be me for the bridal march too.
Favors: Im doing fancy carmel apples. maybe not as much as these .. but probably ones that are coated in carmel, dipped in chocolate and then dipped in nuts.
Flowers and decorations:
I want to keep decorating simple. I dont want a glamorous wedding at all. Just flowers and vintage vases and candles and maybe some small white pumpkins here and there, nothing over the top. And cute handmade signs here and there.. lots of DIY
I like these banner type things. ill probably use them somewhere around the food!
for table decorations were collecting old bottles and putting flowers in them. white and blush flowers like peonies, ranoculus, babies breath and carnations
ranaculous
carnations
Baby's breath
German chamomile .. just a tad tucked in somewhere fore sentimental reasons
I also like the idea of incorperating blush coloured peonies
or better yet ranuculus!
The whole place will be strung up with christmas lights for an enchantingly romantic glow♥
I feel like this picture really kinda shows the kind of lighting im going for
I love the way they did this. id like to do something similar
Attire
Veil: im still so confused on what i want to do with this one. I kinda want a classic frothy elbow length one..or maybe some sort of french net upper lip length birdcage veil
i want to have something like this as an embelishment. but with pearls not crystals.
this is a nice veil
this is basically the style im going to wear for my hair... but mor refined and polished.
the dress i designed
I still plan on having it made at custom couture but, only if I can send them the fabric I want because the ivory they have in taffeta is too white for my taste.
the original drawing
Accessories: I will wear wrist lenght short cotton gloves
I would like to get an ivory, or make an ivory clutch that is frothy like this one i saw at angela miller but only comes in black :'( that almost looks like clusters of fluffy flowers like carnations stuck together, and its so so soft!
i want these shoes or something similar
my grandmothers earings i plan to wear
Photography: Im having my photography done by this wonderful guy named patrick. Hes got good equipement and a great eye.. his pictures are really nice. Im still a bit nervous though, because hes not really a professional even though hes shot a wedding a bit before and is very reliable and a professional in behavior. Its just that there is only one of him and there is so much i want to be captured, and so many of the special album shots i will simply die if we dont get them. A wedding can only be done once, and these will be the only pictures we have of one of hte most special moments of our lives!Pictures are super important so im considering getting another photographer if we can afford it since my dad is paying for patrick and hes a friend so hes not really expensive.
Stationary : blah i hate thinking about stationary D: Umm as far as i know, i want something that will match our cake. Cream old looking paper.. with maybe a garland at the top and then the text, something simple and rustic and cheap! lol I was in a stamp store a bit ago and they had a stamp that looked just like this. I m thinking about doing it myself with my sister but its rather ambitious..and a lot of work.
I will do that text on my grandmothers printer, since hers can do that and then the garlands and such will be stamps and I'll probably emboss them if i dont get to lazy haha
a small rsvp card will be included and i will look relatively the same but 1/3 the size. the invite itself will be pretty standard size so I dont have to pay up the ass for postage. Im also considering postcard rsvp cards since its easier for everyone
I do plan on using retro stamps though :D
and each envelope (only the outter) will be sealed with our very own seal! Thanks to my grandma who bought us a seal with our wedding initials on it. When its done properly (unlike the picture) it looks really nice.
Rehersal dinner: Probably going to do bucca de beppos cause its fun and its yummy and they have family meals.
bridal shower: my cousin offered to host!
Bachelorett/bachelor parties: there is a trampoline place in bellevue that is wayy cool. its got trampoline floors and trampoline walls. Its only $10 an hour which is more than enough for our old and out of shape asses but is way fun. My cousin found it. .. and we thought it might be fun to have a party there, cause you can rent a space like 4 lanes long and then after were all tired and hungry we could go out for teppenyaki(think benni hana's)
Extras: were probably going to have a fake photobooth where i make a backdrop and then we use a polaroid or instant camera to take the pictures, the only problem is finding someone to do it. If i use my regular 600 instant polaroid i can just leave it near the station and let people take the pictures themselves and then only come in when it needs to be loaded because its simple to use, just point and shoot. But if i use my land 350 instant camera then id have to have someone who is a professional or id have to train someone myself to use it and im not sure id want to do that... even though the pictures would come out way cooler.
it would be cool to get some of the pictures taken with that camera though.
