Despite the drama of the night, things settled down with the help of a great friend. I talked to Brad for a while (FEEL BETTER, SWEETS!!!) and then John called and I talked to him for a while. :-) He makes me laugh because he and Scott (his sister's boyfriend) were playing Madden online on PS2. He had called earlier to tell me that if I tried to call and it was busy, that'd be why. He called 2 1/2 hours later and said, "I'm sorry I'm so late!! I kicked his ass the first two games and he insisted I do it a third time!" And as he said, he "laid the smack down on Scott". He's such a dork! But yeah, so we talked for a while and he listened to me whine and complain and I listened to his advice. It's nice to have someone that can knock the sense into me.
I finally went to bed around the time Conan was on. The girl from OC was on (not like I've ever watched that show, which seems to make me an outcast here at JMU....) was on and that's when I dozed off. And surprisingly, I didn't wake up until about 10 minutes ago. Good nights sleep. No dreams that I can remember but I know that I didn't wanna get out of my bed this morning. Not because I was tired, but because it's so damn comfy! I've been sleeping on top of the comforter lately and under a fleece throw, so put an eggcrate mattress, a fiber bed, a set of sheets, an in-between blanket, a down comforter, and a regular comforter under me and about 10 pillows above me.......... it's a cloud I tell you!!!
So yeah, I'm in a very type-y mood today. So I suppose I'll do the update for those who care (anyone? I didn't think so). I went home on Thursday night and went to John's. Things were a little ackward at first, but finally we started talking about everything and he decided that he sees that we're better off together than apart. We agreed that we can "be okay again". Of course, there are still things to be talked about and problems to be looked at, but everything looks so much clearer and easier when we're together. And like I said to him, why should we add another problem and complication to the ones that we already have. "WE" were fine, but the two of us made "us" a problem... which just increased our blood pressure and all of the other stuff that was going on. The two of us together... we at least have two things right: love and friendship.
We went to the 10:10 showing of
Big Fish at Regal. Robbie, an old friend of John's, let us in for free! And then it ended up being only 4 people total in that movie theater. So it was nice to sit and cuddle and watch the movie, which I thought was amazing!!! Then we went home and... well, made up for lost time, I suppose. In a very great way. Definately one for the books.
Friday he had to work, so I spent the day just kinda putzing around the house til Roz came home. Then she and I sat and watched TV all afternoon til he got home. He went to work again that night and I stayed home and watched Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune with Roz. Sounds pathetic, but I LOVED it. It's such a comfortable place to be..... at his house, with his mom who loves me. I feel safe there. John got off of work at 9:30 so I drove out and we went and saw his boss Joe open for
K8 at Peppers in Berwick. Who knew Joey knew how to sing AND play the guitar!!! :-p We hung out there for a while and then headed home, where we stopped at our neighborhood
Friendly's for a late dinner. That was nice, though the restaurant was FREEEEZING. We got home and...well, we won't talk about it every time we did. :-p I slept well.
Saturday we slept in until noon and got up and got breakfast and hung out with Roz. He got called into work early that night, so I headed back to Benton for Teo's birthday party. It was nice to go home and see the family and friends for a short time, but I'm realizing more and more that that's all I can handle.... a VERY short time. I stayed at my Dad's house that night and MY GOD he drives me crazy. But I won't get into that.
I left Sunday around 1 to go back to John's after saying goodbye to everyone. It's getting easier and easier to say goodbye to them. That's kinda sad. But anyways, I got to John's and found out that he ended up having to work, so I met him out at the mall and we went and got food for dinner. We got home and cooked together (which let me tell you... that's the funniest/cutest thing you've ever seen!) and watched the
big game. It was fun to sit and root for the team that John was against. **SMILES** He told me that I had to be silent and couldn't say anything because 1) I don't know much about football and 2) because I was just being mean. :-D Yes. Yes I was. So then as soon as the game was over, we went to bed. (Yes, to sleep you sicko!) I had to get up to come back to JMU Monday morning. I was going to leave around 7 originally. I didn't leave until 9:30/10! OOPS! I got back here just in time to get to work at 2. But the weekend was so worth it!!!
Like I said, while there are still things to be discussed and figured out, it's just so nice to know that we're doing alright again and that we can talk without jumping around the subject. And the greatest part of the WHOLE thing and the part that I cherish the most?? Making him laugh again. To hear someone laugh and to know that it's because of something you said or did..... that's the most amazing feeling!!!! Especially after all you heard from that person for a while was complaining, arguining, fighting, mean words...... a laugh is like gold then.
The funniest thing about going home this weekend?? I left Thursday afternoon around 4, as soon as I got out of class. I haven't had class since Thursday. Today is Wednesday of the next week. My only "class" today is to watch a film. Then tomorrow I'll have a full day of classes. One week, 7 days in between classes. I think I can handle 15 weeks of this!! (Though I know that it won't always be like this........ just as long as the snow's around! ;-))
I think I've written enough. People are bored and starting to doze off and drool on their keyboards. I'll update again soon!!!
