Happy Friday everyone :)
This morning, I spilled my expensive YSL foundation all over my favorite yellow pajamas (the ones Lawrence bought me for our first Christmas together) so I've pretty much spent all day trying to remove the stain. I've washed it twice and let it soak in some stain remover solution and now I'm running it through the wash for the third time. The stain has been fading with every wash so hopefully it'll come out with this wash or the next, le sigh. Today is also my day off so I've just been at home cleaning up and watching some videos. I also took Charlie to the dog park where he got really messy so I had to give him a bath too. Later tonight I'll probably meet Lawrence downtown for happy hour before he leaves for his golfing trip over the weekend.
Last night I went to the Kit Kat Lounge with Ashley and we talked about my wedding and bounced some ideas around. We also updated each other about our jobs search since we're both on the market for a new career. It was just nice catching up with her again because we usually hang out every week but haven't for about 2-3 weeks now due to the busy schedules we call life. They had half priced martinis that night so I got totally drunk and then went home and danced to 90s music for half an hour while Lawrence finished up a late dinner and some work hehe.
Earlier in the week I went for an interview for an administrative coordinator position at a company that does mergers and acquisitions. It was in a beautiful office in the downtown core and everyone was super nice. I interviewed with the operations manager first then the vice president. For the first couple of minutes they both described to me what the company does and what my role would be if I were given the position. Then the rest of the interview just turned into informal chit chat, about movies our dogs and food lol. The operations manager and vice president said I was very personable, vibrant, appeared to be well organized and highly educated. Then they said I should hear from them by next week, fingers crossed! I also filled out an application to work for a start up company for a marketing position. They said they were impressed with my resume, asked me to fill out an application online and said that they would contact me in 48 hours to arrange an interview. I haven't been contacted yet and it's been almost 48 hours. I hate waiting around for answers and at this point I'll probably leave my current job by November even if I don't get an offer else where because I'm tired of breaking up fights, especially at 10am the morning when the coffee hasn't even sunk into my veins yet.
This has also been my first week back at work since my two weeks of paid time off and I have tons of paper work to do because you know everyone just waits for me to come back to do it instead of doing it themselves. Since I've been gone one client got arrested for outstanding warrants and had to complete ten hours of community service which he did in a day and another client was arrested for robbing two people at gun point so he's been discharged from the program and is in prison but he was about to be emancipated soon anyway. We also got a new client who's been super loud and annoying and already overdosed on drug on the first week on the unit so I certainly have my work cut out for me and we're getting a new staff member that I'm training next week, I hope she's ready and can handle herself!
