Interesting story, I went to www.ljseek.com (I'm totally addicted to that website now!) and typed in Kansas City, and found a person who had just moved from Kansas City to Denver! I'm telling her about cool places to hang out, and she's going to tell me about cool places to hang out. How wierd is that? Two ships passing in the night and all that...Anyhow, so we went down to my mother-in-law's place on Saturday for the Fall Festival. Leigha got to be in the parade, and she really got into the whole candy throwing thing. In the parade there was a saddle club, and there were about fourty horses or so. Right after them was a group of barefoot people in overalls with blacked out teeth and braids and mullet wigs, and they were shoveling up the horsey plop and putting it in the back of a golf cart, which had a sign on it that said, "Hillbilly Fertilizer." How awesome is that? I love that I live so close to all the rednecks and whatnot, this is sooooo different from anywhere I've ever lived before, it's a complete culture shock for me, and I love it! Anyways, so the next morning we woke up early and went fishing on the Pomme De Terre Lake. First of all, don't go fishing in the woods before sunup. Scary and mysterious animal noises abound. Seriously, I was going, "Are possums dangerous, or, what's the deal with that?" Second, don't go fishing when there's lightning out. Jason and I saw it in the distance and were like, "yeah, we'll leave if it gets too close." Well, it got too close so we packed it in, and just as we got the bait off the hooks, it started sprinkling. Jason said, "good thing we're leaving." We got in the car and hadn't even made it out of the boat dock parking area, when it started POURING!!! And we were on backroads, mostly dirt, and couldn't see a thing! It was so freaky. Then it started HAILING!!! At six in the morning! How wierd is that! So we get back to the house, make a mad dash for the porch...and the door is locked. We had to wake Sheila up to let us in, and of course that woke Bri up. Who didn't go back to sleep. Fun times, fun times. Anyhow, gotta run. We're cleaning the garage, I STILL have a lot of unpacking to do, argh!!!
