It's a wonderful life!
Oh my goodness!! I haven't posted in a year and 9 months!! My goodness, my life has certainly changed. So many new updates to write about!
I'll start out with the most exciting update: I'm getting married to my soulmate. After dating for over 5 years, we are ready to take the wonderful walk down the aisle into marriage. We are doing all the wedding planning on our own. We have narrowed our venue selections to 2 and we are going to be making our final selection by the end of the month! Our date will be sometime in late October/ November 2009. <3
No more Tallahassee for Darlene! I am back in Orlando, where my heart has been since I moved away to college. I've been able to catch up and hang out with such good friends that I missed for so many years... It seems I'm living a totally different life from what I've been accustomed to. I now live in a 3-bedroom house that I have totally fallen in love with!! I went from living in smaller apartment/townhouses to this awesome house. I also got a new car. A 2008 Nissan Altima fully equipped with a touch button start. It's sooo cool! I've been a nurse for exactly a year and 4 months! I'm a mother/baby nurse, taking care of mothers and their newborn just hours after delivery! I have seen hundreds of happy parents with their newborns and I seen my fair share of sad cases and very sick patients. I work at Winnie Palmer, probably known as the busiest birthing hospital in Florida.
Just 2 weeks ago, I took a trip to the ER. I had the absolute worst headach of my life and I was vomiting my guts out. All the brain tests (CT scan, MRI, Lumbar Puncture) were all negative. It's been a struggle trying to figure the cause of such bad headaches that are accompanied by severe nausea, vomiting, and severe sensitivity to light. I still have yet to figure that one out.
