Complaining about ads again...

I've thought for some time that the ads on some internet sites are becoming more and more dubious...it's always these "tests" or supposed "messages" and "you're the winner" alerts and other stuff that probably leads you to sites that cost you lots of money without you noticing or steal your data and all that. I'm almost used to ignoring these by now (except the annoying ones with the sounds).
But why are so many of the ads I see at DeviantArt in Polish all of a sudden?
I don't even know a word of Polish, and neither do I live close enough to Poland to have my IP suggest I live there or anything?)
