ok, everyone totally gives me odd looks when i pose this theory to the, and i have only ever come across one other person who was even slightly inclined to consider the possibility ( ... )

yeah i think harry is a horcrux as well. beacause
A. dumbledore said if a person/animal is a horcrux its much harder, there are emotional links and whatnot. which would explain harry and voledmorts connection...
B. the scare marks him as a horcrux
C. would mean voldemort cant die without harry dying, which ive always though might happen. I cant see harry living. I think he'll have to sarcrfice himself.
D. JKR said shes lead very big clues toward what will happen in book 7 and that it can be fingure out.

however there are some problems with it.
A. Voldemort would of had to have performed a ritual to make harry a horcrux (unless the spell rebounding did it unintentionally and voldemort didnt know hed somehow made harry a horcrux)
B. Voldemort wouldnt want to kill harry if he knew he was a horcrux.
C. We think there are already 7 horcruxes (not including harry).

yeah I totally agree with you guys too. The reasonI came upon that theory is becuase I figure, harry must die at the end, and the only way I see him dying is if he killed himself - which he would have to in order to keep voldemort from coming back if he IS a horcrux. I'm glad you guys are on the same page as me!

The thing is, I don't think voldemort KNOWS that harry is a horcrux. If he knew that Harry was a horcrux, then he might not have such a desire to kill him. Furthermore, after the ritual in the 4th book where voldey was re-born - maybe that's when Harry's Horcrux-y-ness was used up and he is no longer one... if that makes any sense at all! :) Either way, I definetly think harry is a horcrux, but I don't think that Voldey knows.
