Yes, This is a Fandom Post

Away on business again. I'm afraid I'll be detained for a bit.

But on my current trip I believe I have found time to vent, because I believe such will be necessary for the continued functioning of my neural cells.

Anyway, the interesting thing about American hotels is that, no matter how cheap, they usually come equipped with TVs that have at least ( Read more... )

I never watch any of these new network shows. Most of them are just horrible panderings to the vapid teenage majority. I mean, I realize there's a lowest common denominator, but it's unbelievable how low it's become.

I rarely watch TV, for all the reasons you just mentioned.

Even CNN is no longer a credible news source. They interviewed Britney Spears.

I know! I was absolutely appalled. I'm not saying that I don't follow celebrity gossip, because I do to a limited extent, but it's not real news. And it certainly doesn't belong on CNN of all places. >>

I follow celebrity gossip when I need to--when it's relevant to a case or something.

But regardless. I refuse to sit through an hour of why Britney-san shaved her head before I know about the latest oil crisis or mass murderer.

Oh, are you a detective?

Exactly. And of course, because it's all that's out there, it's all people read and come to expect. It's a vicious cycle.

Yes, I'm a detective. One of the best, if I do say so myself.

I find that disappointing about people.
