I pissed off an actor in a fitting today. They are supposed to wear their shoes (for thier costumes) during rehearsals to get used to them. Well, as it turns out, he won't provide/wear his own socks and the designer has been providing him with a "fresh" pair of socks every night and washing them (he needs a "fresh" pair every night). And he was indignant about it, like if we didn't provide them, he wouldn't wear the shoes--like it was our responsibility to wash his socks for four weeks. Sometimes actors really piss me off. They have this bloated sense of self-importance. This one surprises me, though. I didn't expect it from him. Oh, what I wouldn't do to bitch-slap him.
Another musing--a girl in the cafeteria the other day had a t-shirt on that said, "Makeup is a lie". Well, some people need to be lied to.
