I want to let everyone know that I am no longer going to make my posts available to my CURRENT students and will be removing current students as my "friends".
This is NOT because I have any problems with or dislike any of these students, it is simply to protect myself and my students from any perception that there might be a violation of privacy in either direction. I also deleted my Facebook account for the same reason.
In my job, sometimes the line between faculty, students and friends can be blurry and it is MY responsibility to maintain an environment of mutual respect and responsibility.
I hope everyone understands and let me know when you graduate!
