weekend of madness

Nov 01, 2004 14:48

so on saturday i get a call at about 9 in the morning from veronica. "hey, are you going to the parade?" she asks. FUCK NO. but, yet again, by persuasion of she and jackie, somehow i managed to get to boston with those two, jess, and eric (meryls brother. weird) by train. i dont even like the red sox/baseball, but it's all good. i got wet, dirty, and lost my voice. on the train ride home there were MADDDD drunk/high people and someone hacked into the train intercom and was saying "if you want nugget call 1 800 755 NUGGET" and like listing off names of red sox players and informing us to which ones were gay or sucked.

saturday i watched the shinning with some friends...and meryl. so fucking scary. you probably dont think it is but the last "horror" movie i watched was the 6th sense so im not really one who enjoys being scared. so basically, i cried and screamed and didnt fall asleep until 5 in the morning because the fear of jack nickelson coming in and chopping me up with an ax kept me awake.

then sunday i went trick-or-treating. woot! lets see, i was a princess, meryl was a 6 year old, kim was someone from the 80's, jackie was mickey mouse, grace was a prom queen, veronica was a hippie/butterfly/umm lauren was a ballerina, christine wore a clash shirt and had frizzy hair, and dylan was veronicas twin. and then there were two girls i didn't know who were wearing boxes. so we trick-or-treated for about an hour, got tired by 6, frolicked in a field, went to graces, and then crashed at laurens and went home.

so that was my weekend. and today v called me at like 7 and asked if i was wearning a john kerry for president shirt, and i wasnt, so i grabbed and white t-shirt off my floor (how convenient) and a blue and red marker and ran to the bus. i wrote VOTE KERRY on it and put it on over my collared shirt. we got some "yay kerrys!" and A LOT of "kerry sucks!" we actually got yelled at by some seniors who were like "we're 18 and we can vote and you can't! go bush!" i seriously hope they were kidding. so anyways today was cool because i got to spread my anti-bush/go kerry feelings. contrary to popular belief, the only reason i'm pro-kerry is not just to get bush out of office. yes, that is clearly an obvious reason, but believe it or not, i actually do have an idea whats going on politically and i do know where kerry stands on certain issues, and i know that i agree with him. so i'm not a dumb kid running around the hallways screamed "GO KERRY!" like he's some kind of sports team who i want to win a game. it's a little bit more compicated than that kids.

i heart huckabees tonight! pingree tomorrow!

peace
