(no subject)
Had a good couple of days. We've been looking around some dogs homes this weekend and today. Sadly one of Ric's dogs had to be put down a couple of weeks ago because it had a tumour. It was 11 years old and was a lovely dog but Ric's step Dad really misses it. His Mum has decided that she is going to get him another dog because she knows that even though he says he doesn't want another one he would love it when he got it.
So we have been trawling the shelters looking for a nice dog. There are some very sad dogs but only a couple that fitted the criteria, we reserved one yesterday and took Ric's other dog in today to meet him. What the lady didn't say yesterday though was that that dog didn't like cats and ric has 2 cats too so he was a no - its a shame because he was a lovely dog. Then we found another gorgeous dog but he had kennel cough and you cant risk giving that to the other dog so he too was a no.
So the hunt is still on. She does want to rehome an unwanted dog so thats good - I think we'll just have to keep looking around to find the right one. Ric has a 22 year old cat so it is definitely important that the dog gets on with cats.
Other than that we finally moved in all our stuff and signed our rent agreement today so the office is officially ours now to do as we please. It's all very excited but its kind of a slow process getting everything sorted. The talktalk man is coming on wednesday to fit our line so then at least we'll have a landline but it ould take another week to get the internet sorted. Then we need to ring the supplier to order some stock but first we need to fax them our signed form and we dont have a fax machine set up yet. Its very confusing getting everything timed in and done.Once it's all sorted we'll be away lol.
Got a bit of a busy day tomorrow. We're going in in the morning and unloading some more stuff, then we're going to sort everything out and set it up for a bit. Then ric has a meeting with the guy who is doing the website so I'm going to do a runner and come home to pick up some stuff that will have hopefully come through the post and to pick up my brother, then I'm back to the office to drop the stuff of and then to pick up a rabbit then to pick ric back up and to come home. It's a lot of driving to be done tomorrow but it's got to be done.
