(no subject)
OOh, I've been updating a lot lately, not that I have much to say...but nevermind.
I went shopping yesterday with my Mum to ikea. Ric went playing golf with my brother, dad and uncle, so we decided to have a browse. I wanted to look at desks and office stuff but it took us forever to find it. It turns out that we had missed the office sections when we took a detour via the restaurant lol, just our luck. I managed to find some pretty nice desks though. Ric has put me in charge of buying office furniture and stationary - I love buying that kind of stuff lol. But it was really frustrating me because I couldnt find a desk I liked, it either had to be cheap and crap or good and really expensive. My budget was £150 per desk, but I was really struggling with that.
Anyway, after a look round ikea I managed to find a couple of nice desks for just over £100 each so I was happy. I also found a couple of other good things too. I then went to staples and found an even nicer desk. It is on offer at the moment for £99 each so I was very happy with that fine. To make it even better I came home and checked the desk out on ebay and someone is selling a lot of them for £70 including delivery so I am very very happy. I will buy them off ebay because that way I can have them delivered straight to the office so I dont have the try and squeeze them in my car, and I save money. I will only be spending £140 on 2 desks now, bargain!
In my opinion thats some good bargain hunting on my part lol. And I am really happy with them because they're really nice, big, corner desks which is what I wanted. Also, because I've saved £150 I can now buy other stuff hehe. My desk find is to get a good filing cabinet, 2 chairs, all the desk-top stuff, bin, files, folders and stationary. I found 2 nice leather chairs in staples so I think I'll go for those ones too.
I am so excited. I love spending money...and I get to spend so much of it. I'm also looking forward to setting everything up in the office on Friday when we move in. We are going to be shopping all week this week with the hope of moving everything in Friday. We're going back to Leeds again later to do some more shopping tomorrow too.
Oh and finally...I'm so so glad that Rachel one BB. I'm glad Mikey didnt win and I did like Rex and Darnell but I dont think they would have coped with the money very well, or the not-so-famous-fame that BB winners get. It's nice to have a reasonably normal person win for a change.
