...I'm so excited. Ric has told me about one of my Christmas presents early. Yes, I know, its naughty and he shouldnt have, but he needed me to decide some stuff so he could sort it out so he had to tell me. I'm very excited about it, here's what he's bought me:
On January 7th we are going to London for 4 nights, staying in a tavellodge in king Cross and going to see 3, yes 3, shows on the tuesday, wednesday and thursday and then coming home friday afternoon. I soooo cant wait.
He has already booked a meal and ticket deal for Rent on the Tuesday, but needed me to decide what 2 other shows we should go and see. He was going to book LOTR the musical on wednesday for us, but didnt know if i actually wanted to go and see it. I wasnt sure, I thought it might be a bit stupid because the Hobbit musical was crap, but I have been reading some reviews and all about the production and it sounds pretty interesting. They have obviously really gone to town on it and have spent so much money, so even if the story is a bit crap (lets face it they will have had to cut out a lot to fit it into 3 hours!) it should still be worth watching. I ummed and arred about it but think I have decided that I might aswell go and see it. We wont pay loads for the best tickets, and might just go to a matinee, but it will be worth watching because I doubt I'm going to get to go back to London again for a long time.
And for the last show I think I have decided on Avenue Q. I have been wanting to see that for quite a long time and it should be really good. I really wish we could go back and see Phantom again, which was fantastic, but I was so spoilt for choice that I didnt want to give up seeing a new one for one I've already seen. I would have given up LOTR I suppose, but I kind of want to see that in a weird way. I considered Blood Brothers, Joseph and the Sound of Music too, but I settled on these three.
I am very excited and cant wait. The hotel is booked and so is Rent. Ric is working on getting tickets for LOTR matinee but for some reason the avenue Q tickets dont go up to January yet. It should be such a good week and I suppose its only a replacement for the fact that we didnt get to go on holiday this year. I just hope I made the right choices with what shows to watch. What do you think? Anyone have any suggestions of what I should watch that I havent considered?
Ooh i cant wait...
