We've been back at uni a week now and I cant believe how much work I have to do already. You really get out of the routine of doing it, and then when you're thrown back in its hard to get in the swing of it.

I've had a bit of a busy week with the rabbits this week too. Maisy gave birth on Monday to 6 cute little babies, then on Wednesday Milly gave birth to 6 little babies too. Maisy was doing really well looking after hers for the first 48 hours, then on wednesday I found one dead in the nest and another very skinny and weak. That one died a few minutes after in my hand. I left her with the other 4 thinking that sometimes these things just happen, but then yesterday I found two more dead and the last two very thin and ill looking.

I took them both out and fed them until they looked fat, but I didnt want to put them back in with Maisy because she obviously wasnt feeding them. Milly is such a fantastic mum to her lot but she has never had 6 before so I wondered whether to pop the remaining 2 in with Milly, but didnt want to overwhelm her. In the end I didnt have much choice, so I popped them in and kept my eye on them. This morning I found another one of Maisy's dead but the other seems to be doing ok. Milly's are all still alive but they are very small so i am a bit worried about them. I am feeding them extra milk in between Milly's feeds so I am keeping my fingers crossed that they will be ok.

I also got a new bunny on Monday called jaffa, except I've renamed her Lotte. She's a lovely orange mini lop and should have some gorgeous babies when i get round to mating her. Other than the Maisy fiasco everything is going well. I just dont understand what has happened with her because last time she fed and looked after 7 babies perfectly.

Ooh I also went to Blackpool Zoo this week which was fun. I expected it to be crap actually but it was very good and they had lots of cute babies. The monkeys are my favourite and they had some absolutely gorgeous babies. I think we might even be sad and use it as somewhere to go in between lectures. We have two big gaps of 5 hours on a monday and tuesday and its only 20 mins away - an annual pass is only £40, how sad is that! lol
