This week has gone by really slowly. I was only thinking to myself not long ago about how quick the summer has gone by. I had planned to do so much, thinking that I had 3 long months off, but it has flown by and now, thinking back, I cant even remember what I've done with my time. Then these past 2 weeks, it seems to have really dragged. I'm kind of looking forward to getting back now, as I know that once we start again the year will just fly by and then it will all be over. It will be very sad and scary when uni had ended, but at the same time I have so much more to look forward to.
We skipped uni on friday when I read about the daft talk i was supposed to go to it was just the same as last year so I thought forget it. I didnt want to spend an hour driving to uni to waste 20 mins in a talk to drive back for another hour.
We went for a drive on thursday to Wilmslow to pick up some rabbit food and bits. It's amazing how cheap it is in this little farm shop we found compared to when we used to order it off the internet. It used to cost us £60 for 4 20kg bags of rabbit food online. On thursday we bought 4 bags of food, 1 bale of sawdust and 12 large water bottles for £55 which I think is cheap. The food is only £8 per bag which is fantastic and the sawdust is only £4 for a big bale (compared to £10 which we had been paying at pets at home grr!).
Anyway, while we were there we passed this garden centre and fish shop so on friday we decided to have a drive back to buy some fish for mine and ric's tank. It was sooo expensive! It was £5 for one blackmore (normally 3 for £3.35 at the fish farm at littlemoss) so we thought forget it! I ended up going to the fish farm today instead, though i must admit that they do have a habbit of dying from there sometimes, you have to get the right ones.
We also rearranged our rabbit shed today so that we can fit one more cage in. This means we can still have a spare cage for babies and now get another female. I got a gorgeous female on wednesday evening from Huddersfield. She is actually a Rex which we havent had before but she is a gorgeous chocolate colour and the brightest biggest brown eyes - she is now called Hazel. I have also found another lovely orange mini lop doe in Bury which i am hoping to go for on wednesday. I just need to find another cage for her to go in first. I am hoping to go for one tomorrow.
I'm also hoping that two of my mini lops give birth either tonight or tomorrow so fingers crossed...
