So yeah, the reason I have been completely without energy is that I have expended it all trying to expunge the colony of Smurfs that moved into my lungs the day I left the playa. Not being able to take a full breath for 14 days will take the piss out of you, for sure.
After trying acupuncture, rest, Mucinex, Nyquil, crazy chinese herbs, and rest, I finally went to Kaiser today, and sure enough, I left with steroid inhalers, instructions to irrigate my sinuses (and those of my daughter, who is also still congested) and another nail in the coffin of my enthusiasm.
I'm so tired, so so so tired. I haven't been able to muster the brain power to really attack the massive pile of follow ups and inquiries that have piled up since I left the playa. I've put out the major fires and everything else I "marked as unread" and saved for later, thinking I'd be feeling better the next day, for 14 days now. And I'm burnt out beyond belief, and demoralized, and angry, and sad, and so so so tired.
