Are they freaking serious?!?

I sent Hallmark an email a few weeks back regarding the fact that they had no cards for people in the Canadian military (or any cards with the Canadian flag for that matter).  THIS is the email they just sent me today:

Dear Ms. ********:

Thank you for contacting Hallmark with regard to the recent announcement
that Hallmark is offering same-sex wedding cards. We appreciate your
interest in Hallmark Cards, its products and the stores that offer them.

At this time, these cards are not available in Canada; however, we
encourage you to visit a Hallmark Gold Crown card shop where you may be
able to find cards that are suitable for the occasion. If you require the
location of a Hallmark card shop near you, please call 1-800-268-3230 and
one of our Customer Support representatives will be pleased to assist you.

Thank you for caring enough to write to us. I assure you that we will do
our best to continue to create products that make Hallmark your preference.

Sincerely,
Tami Berman

Are they for real?  I mean yes having cards for same sex marriages is a good thing.. but that was no where near close to what I was writing them for!  They also told me in the email to visit their store to find cards that are 'suitable for the occasion'.  I DID visit a Hallmark store and they didn't have any cards anywhere close to what I was looking for.. hence me sending the email to them in the first place!

This is the original email I sent them.. (and take note that no where in the email did I enquire about cards for same sex marriages as they stated I did in their response) :

To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing this email to express my frustration with the lack of Canadian
cards in your stores.  I have a friend in the Canadian military who is
being sent overseas to Afghanistan next month.  I was looking for a card
this evening to let her know I'd be thinking of her and to wish her well.
With the aid of a very helpful sales associate we searched the entire store
and only came across one card on the subject.  The wording was beautiful
and the card was perfect, except for the fact that there was an American
flag on the front of the card.  If I were to give her this card it would be
extremely offensive to give her a card with another country's flag on it as
she is going over to fight for Canada, and is very loyal to her country.  I
was also disappointed to see that there were not even any blank cards with
the Canadian flag or anything related to Canada on the front.  I did
however come across a blank card with an American flag on the front.  I
have nothing against the American flag, or there being cards with American
flags in your stores, however I find it very distasteful to not have a
single card with the Canadian flag.  You have a large amount of stores in
Canada, and I am sure that I am not the only person who would purchase a
card that supports our country.

Thank you for your time in reading this email.

Sincerely,

Wendy ********

I just saw on the news yesterday that 3 more Canadian soldiers were killed in Afghanistan.  And Hallmark can't even make ONE card to wish the men & women who are going overseas & risking their lives well?  Not only that.. but they can't even respond accurately to a simple email!

Seriously.. is this company run by monkies???
