Fall Out Boy Concert!

Apr 12, 2009 01:10

Jsyk, I don't know any set lists.

So, it was only awesome! Ya! Anyway, I will start now.

Kels and I left the house at 1pm and drove around listening to FOB being dorks and then we had issues finding parking at UBC because that place is crazy but then we did find parking so we went and got in line and it was like 2:30 I think. I dunno. And we had a bench and it was awesome but then some guy said something and everyone started running and it was confusing so we ended up at the doors and I was confused so I walked to Shoppers and got food.

Then I went back and chilled with Kels and a bunch of people in the floor line. I had seats but I didn't want to be by myself for 2 hours because that is boring.

Then eventually it came close to door time so I went in my line and The Beat radio station was there and I entered some draw and the guy liked my shirt. (It says "Drunk Chicks Think I'm Hot" I can't remember why I wore it) and then he gave me a sticker which I lost :(

So get in, I buy Kels a shirt since I had seats and she could get a good spot and bought myself nothing because the only thing I could afford was a poster and I don't have room for posters anymore.

Then some guy took a picture of my shirt because it amused him. It was kind of awkward.

So I went to my seat which was row 16/24 and I was like OK... and saw empty seats in row 4 so I went and took those instead. I'm sly. It was a really good seat.

So then Hey Monday comes on and I know people say stuff but both the times I've seen them play, I've been impressed. More so this time. Cassidy's voice was amazing.

Intermission between sets. I got a pop and the consession lady laughed at my shirt. I thought she was laughing at me at first.

Then Metro Station and OK, it's Metro Station. They are all right. The Mason kid can sing. Trace, not so much. Also Trace took off his shirt and a bunch of people were screaming and I really just wanted him to put it back on because I could see his rib cage. Not attractive at all.

Another intermission and I went to use the washroom and I put my coat on my chair and when I come back it is thrown on the ground and someone is sitting there. I don't make a fuss out of it because she was with her friends. I just asked if she threw it on the ground and she said no and it seemed like she was telling the truth and then these two girls come and are like "uhhh, you are in our seats" to these girls so they leave and then one of the bitches was like "they totally fell for that" and I kind of wanted to hurt her because that was my seat first. Bitch.

So I moved back a row but that is fine. It was row 5 so not bad at all.

All Time Low was awesome. I've seen them 3 years in a row now lol. In '07 there was like 10 people at their warped tour set. Now they are opening for Fall Out Boy. That is awesome. Also they had some spare time and asked someone to tell them a song to sing and some guy on the floor said "The Blowjob Song" so they made up a song but Jack halfway through was just like "I can't do this" so they did some cover of some song that I don't know. I think it was a Blink song though. They didn't say the title by the way so there.

Intermission again before FOB. Cobra didn't play because Gabe was sick with a stomach flu and ended up in the hospital. I dunno. Anyway, some drunk chick who couldn't speak English talked to me. It was weird.

I also asked these girls for their floor bracelets because they weren't using them and the girls next to me gave them to them anyway but they said they might use them for FOB. They did for one song and then went back to seats. Lame. They were like 12 too.

Anyway, Fall Out Boy! They came out in suits and Patrick had a wig and it was awesome. And I can't remember the set list for the life of me. I was just rocking out and watching and trying to to fall over a chair in front of me.

They did play Headfirst Slide into Cooperstown and What a Catch, Donnie though which are two of my favourite songs and it was awesome. During What a Catch, Donnie they had this little video clip thingy for the parts that other people sang and I didn't pay too much attention because I was in a different world or something but there was Beckett in a bathtub. It was great. Shut up, I like Beckett.

And omg, can someone please give me Patrick's voice? Please? And to have the ability to hold the fucking notes he does? I mean, omg. I was so impressed! A lot of people told me that he isn't that great live because he doesn't enuciate his words but he sure did tonight and omg, being able to hold those notes. It was great.

Then it was over and I had to use the washroom again but I saw Jack from All Time Low so I went and got a signature even though I already have his signature on the jacket I was wearing from two years ago. I'm such a dork.

Then on my way outside and there was a swarm around Alex from ATL so I joined it and got a signature even though I already have it.

Then I met up with Kels and we went to the busses and lurked like creeps and Cassidy from Hey Monday signed out stuff and she is a nice girl. The Jack came out and Kels got her stuff signed. And then we waited and it started raining which sucked. Oh Vancouver, you love to rain don't you? So then we chilled at the fence because we couldn't actually go to the buses because there was a fence but you get it. And Mason came out but we were on the other side of the road so we stayed there.

And then all the busses left. It was slightly disappointing but they have to drive to Utah so I really don't blame them for leaving early.

So Kels and I drove home. It was a good night.

Random: Because of my shirt, some people thought I was a lesbian. Good times. Good times.

I will defiantly go see FOB again. Totally worth it.
