About to go work on my costume forever, but before that;
1. IF YOU LIVE IN CALIFORNIA, TAKE A MINUTE TO
ADD YOUR NAME TO THE LIST OF ANTI-PROP 8 SUPPORTERS FIGHTING FOR THEIR RIGHTS.
We go to court on March 5th, guys! Now's the time!
2.
1. Every dream I have exists in the same universe, and has as far as I can remember. I've drawn maps of it and everything. It's made up of stylized variations of places I recognize (Santa Barbara, Big Sur, Disneyland, Hogwarts), and half crazy, imagined places- cities, fields, theme parks, harbors. There are a huge abundance of sea creatures in most of my dreams, as well. I want to write a book about it someday.
2. I need to have music. Seriously. I listen to it almost constantly. Recently, I've lost the ability to use both my iPod and my iTunes library, and I feel like... honestly cut off from a part of myself. Listening to the radio and not having control of my own music drives me nuts!
3. I love cooking, but I can't remember the last time I followed a specific recipe. I usually just take a bunch of things I like, toss them in and hope for the best. X3
4. I am utterly fascinated by the concept of fruit and vegetables. I love them. I think they're really neat for no damn good reason. It is my unspoken ambition to have a huge garden.
5. I will never entirely give up on the possibility that the Wizarding World is real, even if I have to be a Muggle.
6. If I could pick two foods to never, ever have to look at, smell, or put anywhere near my face, they would be seaweed and yogurt. I honestly cannot stand the taste of either of them, they make me want to gag.
7. I never stop loving a series once I fall into it. I still look up stuff on my first fandom ever on occasion (Power Rangers, when I was six). The only exception to this rule was Barney.
8. I am extremely scent-oriented. I had a different perfume for every year of junior high and high school, and smelling each takes me right back to memories of them. I prefer sweet, fruity or food themed scents, and tend to really dislike a lot of cliche floral ones.
9. One of the things I find most attractive in a person is their voice. I have a huge weakness for certain speech patterns, and sometimes I'll find myself remarkably endeared to people simply because of the way they speak.
10. I honestly have no idea how to psychologically classify my gender. That being said, there were times I wish I could pull off being more boyish.
11. I wish I had the time and focus to dedicate to half the things I want to do. I love planning, and I love creating; I just suck at synchronizing the two processes.
12. Twelve is my favorite number, shortly followed by four. The reason for this is my birth date and time (12:12 on September 12th).
13. I am fairly superstitious for no damn good reason other than habit.
14. I can remember the scripts for more than ten animated films in their entirety, but I forget something every time I leave the house.
15. I feel a painfully strong urge to visit Ireland. I have no idea why, but every time I see photos, especially of the countryside, my heart aches for it.
16. I love driving by myself during the day and listening to music. If I had unlimited gas money, it would be a hobby. I used to spend afternoons in San Francisco driving around aimlessly, just to watch the world go by.
17. I've always been really interested in graphic design. When I was really young, I invented my own set of characters (who were all bulldogs), and I used to draw things like fast food menus, merchandise ads and CD covers based off of them. I also wrote several children's books.
18. I have no idea where I stand religiously.
19. I actually look really good with a beard. I found this out in high school when we had to act out scenes from Hamlet, and my best friend and I donned full face makeup.
20. I don't think roller discos should ever have gone out of style.
21. If I get meaningful jewelry as a gift from somebody, I literally wear it until it falls apart.
22. I almost never match my socks or earrings
23. According to my my grandpa's psychic friend, I was Abraham Lincoln's lover in a past life. I was also a suicide bomber in Iwojima and a steam engine technician in the industrial revolution. I was told all this without any prior introduction or anything, he just started listing things off when he came over to help with an appraisal.
24. I can't swim.
25. I have a bizarre fondness for the look of oil refineries and offshore platforms. I really hate what they're used for, but aesthetically, I find them gorgeous- all the tangled pipes and grungy smokestacks and lights and things. I like the idea of them run down, covered in vines, and inhabited by a gang of kickass steampunk orphans. My brain.
Kay bye.
