Reality. And a little bit of the opposite of reality which I will not refer to as fantasy...

Is really rather pleasant, as one would expect with the dog visiting and whatnot...

Last night lilli and I went over to MaryEllen's apartment to have dinner with her, Kristi, and Bryann. We had a lot of fun talking and hanging out, and Mary Ellen made some lovely Fajitas.

I've been reading another book, Outlander, which my mom had recommended. I had tried reading it once before, but hadn't gotten into it. I gave it another shot, and after a few pages more discovered it is an interesting book. Time Travel, old Scottish culture, herbs, lore, etc. all wrapped up in one long novel, well, actually there are several more, but it is pretty good. I have a bad habit of nearly picking up whatever dialects are used in my reading, in this case I've wound up nearly using brit/scot slang from... the 1700's. To add to the nerd level, I have also analyzed a bit of the language just because... Instead of saying "I know" they say "I ken" and in German "kennen" means to know (people not information), so, it is just an example of the germanic roots of the english language!

Tonight I have made plans to hang out with Adam, I don't quite know what we are doing yet, we'll see. The party is an option, though apparently Adam is tired (lame) but who knows. That is something I'll post about later.

Also, myspace is fun, and is actually proving to be quite entertaining, as Laura and I have decided to play a little game. We pick out guys for each other to write messages. We both wrote a message to her friend Hunter's friend whom we have nicknamed "Airbrush". I also wrote a message to some guy named Jake. She wrote a message to Jacob. It is rather fun. Jacob actually wrote back to her, but nobody else has made that kind of effort. Lame. I think I would be disturbed/amused to receive the same messages though, so whatev.

Also... World Beat Festival this weekend in Salem. Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 6pm. I don't know which day I'll choose, I guess it depends, since it claims there will be rain on Saturday, but only a chance of showers on Sunday. It's nice today, why be fickle, Salem?

Disturbing:
I have a Newsweek clipping of Conan O'Brien pinned up in my cubicle. Erica thinks that is weird. I think Conan is amazing. I have the whole article, because I thoroughly enjoyed it, fucking genius. Anyway, this all reminded me of the time when a friend and I had discussed the outcome were Conan and I to produce children. Frighteningly pale, red hair, awkward, but incredibly witty and funny. Erica suggested I do this. I protested, because he has a wife and a child, she said it would be fine, she wouldn't mind. I beg to differ on that statement. For the full effect, Conan and I would have to raise the children together, as a family, and his wife would definitely object. Another problem with this situation is that I have discovered that Conan is 2 years older than my mom. I guess I have to draw the line. John Cusack is a year younger than my mom, is that fair game? Is it weird that he was playing awkward teenagers in movies (ie. Sixteen Candles 1984) before I was even born? Oh yeah, here is another thing, I don't intend to have children, so, I am sorry to let you all down anyway.

My apologies to any who chose to read the blurb titled: Disturbing.

P.S. Why is weird portrayed as a bloodsucking lemon?
