Dear sweet politics...
Some person decided it would be a good idea to sign me up for the Defense of Marriage Coalition or whatever that bullshit is. If I were to guess who, I would guess it was my mom, as she is rather horrified at my support for gay marriage, and interpreted my support as evidence that I must be a Lesbian. After that was all cleared up, you know, the "It's ok mom, the family doesn't have to dis-own me, I'm not a Lesbian, I just don't think it is fair to discriminate based on sexuality" talk. Oh wait, am I the only one who had to deal with that one? So, I received yet another mailing from the "We Hate Gays" club (DMC) that told me that school would never be the same again, that they were going to start teaching children in public schools about gay sex. Honestly, I am wondering when they started teaching positions in school anyway? I must have been in the wrong health class, I never saw any charts reminiscent of the Kama Sutra... Why would they start teaching about gay sex explicitly if they don't teach about hetero sex explicitly? Wait, I've got it, they wanted us all to think that we were just giving them equality, but in reality, we are voting to promote homosexuality as the superior way. Homosexuality alles! Come on people, did women take over the earth with the right to vote? No. Why are closed-minded people so afraid that equality will ruin their own ways of life? So yeah, I hope everyone mailing in a ballot did so by today, gotta be sure they make it! Our voices should be heard.
