Okay, that title is not solid, perhaps, but Saturday was a pretty good day...
Weekend recap: Thursday Ram again (Thursday is practically the weekend).
Friday I stayed in, watched For Your Consideration with J-Go. Went to bed at a pretty reasonable hour.
Saturday was Wulapalooza (aka, best day of my life perhaps).
I started the day with very little food, focusing all effort on my appearance. Which sundress should I wear? Should I wear my hair curly or straight? Should I wear flip flops or the bronze sandals? Etc. Around 1 I made my appearance and spent the rest of the day mostly on Brown Field, enjoying the entertainment. I spent a brief period of time at the jazz stage to see the men's choir perform and even a bit of time at the DG table, even though it had never been my intention (some people just didn't show up). I started getting pissed when the next group was late and I went to hunt them down and lay down some wrath, but they showed up at the table while I was looking for them, so they were spared.
I spent a good deal of the day drinking wine, smoking cigarettes or cloves, and dancing like a hippie with my dirty bare feet. The entertainment was wonderful, my favorites of course being Bo.Monro, 999KRA, and Intergalactic White Elephant Gift Exchange. The headliners were fabulous too, I think I was most into Cloud Cult and even Taphabit, but Viva Voce and The Long Winters were great too. By this time I had spent much of my time with DGs, Internationals, or random people who happened to be nearby when I was wandering alone. I did make it up to the beer garden at some point, had a couple pretzels and a beer (I owe Laura). It was a generally fun day. After the Long Winters finished their performance, we split up, I got some food and went with Lauren and Jade back to Lauren's apartment to see the painting she bought, one of the Cloud Cult paintings, it was fabulous. Noelle joined us shortly thereafter and we walked to Caps and then to the party. Once at the party we managed to split up and go our own ways, but as we all knew the party-goers pretty well, it was no big deal. I drank lots of beer, giggled with Lexi a lot, and smoked too many cloves. Once the beer ran out, I went inside and joined the mostly european crowd in Kendra's room for a dance party. We had a great time, though I was saddened every time Sugarbabes was NOT played. After the dance party died down, I went back to campus with CGLA and some others. I ended up talking with Kerstin mostly on the way back... it's making me realize how much I'll miss all these people.
Noteworthy points:
-Flirtation from CGLA again... frustrating
-More suggestive comments regarding a particular friend
-Talk of the inevitable drama that takes place in the international group
-Mud wrestling and all of its participants
-People liking my square in the community canvas project
-Lots of booze filled water bottles
-Strawberry wine
-22 ounce Fat Tires
-A certain guest whom a friend was happy to see
-A beer garden
-A yeti
Sunday: Wow, I've done almost nothing... big brunch at DG, tons of time wasted, minimal work on the Graphic Novel, TV online, and cutting my finger and having to go to my car to use my first aid kit there. Classy.
