Did you miss me?

Wow, so, I didn't update for a couple days, and aside from that month of travel and a few other situations, it is rather unheard of for me. I feel like it is okay to be addicted to blogging since I am not addicted to drugs or alcohol or anything terribly destructive.

Monday was a typical Monday with lots of classes, meetings, and commitments. I survived. I can't recall anything particularly notable about Monday. Probably why I didn't write.

Tuesday was also not particularly notable that I can recall. Hmmm.

I feel like in these days I've spent a decent amount of time hanging out with friends and stuff. I guess Tuesday night was somewhat remarkable in the sense that I did get out and hang out with Noelle for a bit. We played pool and mocked freshmen.

In International Econ, aside from the normal lectures, readings, and tests, we also have a group project and an individual paper. We selected topics on Monday and were informed of our groups on Tuesday. I should have known, considering we have the same exact majors, that I could end up working with him. So, history... Freshman year we had a date function of sorts and I went with a friend to recruit guys for the date posse - I would be selecting from that group of guys myself. In any case, we went from room to room of guys that we knew and that is when I met a guy who liked the same music, the same subjects, and seemed really cool. I thought he would be a great date because we'd have stuff to talk about. I decided that instead of waiting around and relying on luck, I'd just ask. He said no, and then basically never spoke to me again. Awkward. Now, over the years at WU, our paths have continually crossed and there has been either no speaking, or speaking aimed at making me look like an ass. You can imagine my dread when my group included him. But more than that, it was him and two of his friends, including a fraternity brother of his, and me. I am the outcast. We didn't even speak when we first got the assignments, I was frustrated beyond belief that I'd have to work with someone who can't even be civil to me (kind of like the guy at work, though we are on good terms now). Anyway, when we talked for the first time as a group, things were not terribly awkward, we just discussed matters in a civil manner... So let's just hope this can continue. Please.

Okay, Wednesday I got to sleep in some, and Rhetoric was cancelled, so I just met with Stephanie in the library to work on our fallacies assignment. We got through the whole thing in about an hour and then my day continued as usual with a bit of free time, lunch, math with Tess in which we discovered we suck at stuff, and then I went and worked in the mail room for a bit. I was kind of feeling a bit like shit for the past couple days for womanly reasons, so I only stayed a couple hours there before I escaped back to the house. I then relaxed a bit, had dinner, and headed to work. I prefer when Amanda works, then we work because we are in a good mood and have positive incentive rather than working because our other manager is hovering when he hasn't disappeared for some indefinite period of time. We had a meeting, gave Lauren love advice, had bistro snacks, and then worked on personal bios and such because JASON was down. I only made one call that night, but it was a good call, so that works out well.

I am also kind of addicted to Dope Wars on facebook - luckily it is a self regulating game, because only time or money supplies a person with tokens, and as I am not about to spend money, I just have to let time pass to get more tokens. I am also a big believer in investing, so I end up spending a lot of money and a lot of tokens in a short period of time. If you aren't already playing, I recommend jumping on the bandwagon.

After work on Wednesday I headed over to the LLC for German Movie Night to watch Goodbye Lenin for the thousandth time. Apparently a lot of people hadn't seen it, the Austrian girls and the German girl had all not seen it. Anyway, when I had sat down and was set to watch the movie, CGLA made it a point to whisper a "Hi Melissa" to me, which made me happy in that giddy girlie way. I watched my favorite movie and enjoyed, as usual, more than the time before. After the movie, all of the German speaking international students, Liz, and myself stayed around and were speaking German, and then there was one other girl who DIDN'T speak German who stayed around... Uhhhh... awkward. So then we couldn't have a German night without leaving her out - I was fine with doing that because I am a bitch and I am a bit territorial about CGLA, in whom she seemed to have interest. CGLA, however, is nice and spoke English with her. I discovered her identity after a time. We all went to the U-Aps where Julia and Iris lived and got some drinks and snacks, and then we headed to York and watched some television, culminating in Sex and the City - part deux of the finale. I had talked with CGLA a bit, but we were sitting across the room from each other and I was kind of bummed. Close to the end of the show, Meghann called and I always take her calls, so I went and held my conversation where I wouldn't disrupt, we were still talking when everyone was getting ready to go, so I had to awkwardly say goodbyes while on the telephone. I did put her on hold for a moment while CGLA told me to let him know when I wanted to get together and practice some German - I want to do it on our own time, and as friends - not as a tutor-student relationship. I said goodbye to him and headed back home, eventually ended the conversation with schwesterlein, and trying to go to bed. It wasn't as easy as all that, but I did eventually fall asleep.

Today I narrowly escaped taking the Geography test - I had to remind the professor of my legitimate reason - i.e. the wisdom tooth removal. I will be taking it on Monday afternoon instead... which means that I will have a 9:10, 10:20, 12:40 AND a 2:00 class or class equivelant. Boo. But it is kind of necessary. This weekend Meghann should be coming, once again there are many parties to which I am invited... I will probably go to Andrea's birthday party for a while and then head back to the campus area, change, and go to the party at S's house so I can actually get a bit drunk and walk home. Still nothing going on on Friday. Boo. I'll just wait.
