An average student, living an average life...

So, boo to getting a C on that math test... I am hoping the next test will be less about memorizing stupid voting systems. So far this class just makes me want to die - not because it is hard, but because it is tedious, boring, and pointless.

I was tired today, probably thanks to my first college night...

I kind of fell asleep in International Econ - I feel bad about that because I feel like Hanson really does want me to do well, he knows who I am and he makes an effort to ask me about how I am doing, and he made sure that I would be able to get help at some time.

Rhetoric was fine today, we don't have class to days next week, that means that Wednesday I can technically sleep in until some ridiculous hour I choose. Hollerrrrr.

So, college night last night... that is worth talking about - I think. AB and I went over kind of early, it wasn't a big deal, we just got some drinks to sip and talked about life and critiqued music and fashion. At some point more people showed up, so we joined a table with a bunch of other people. I was then pleasantly surprised to be greeted by CGLA and some other LAs. I ended up sitting and talking with them for a few minutes and was about to go back to the other table when I discovered that Tesla had shown up. I then went to AB and Tesla and spent the rest of the night being silly with them, sharing inside jokes, making new ones, etc. After a while, CGLA came by to say that he and the other LAs were leaving, and Adriana said goodbye as well. I adore them! Anyway, Tesla, AB, and I stayed until we finished our drinks, and then we decided to go to Taco Bell and we were all giggly and ordered crap and then handed out exact change (something we all mastered in Europe). Then we went and had some more snacks and there was perhaps some random cartwheels and goofiness and mockery.... all in good fun. I went to bed a bit later than I normally should for a 9:10 class, but it was well worth it.

Tonight I am going to Portland with Monica and Christina, Tesla may meet us in some bars. Tomorrow I am doing the practice GRE - still don't even know what it really is. Then I am going to Italian night at Dave and Andrea's place - gotta pick up some rotwein for that. Then I am going to a party at Haseldorf, then I am going to the Spur. I've got to keep the drinking to a minimum/pace myself well because alcohol is going to be kind of a big thing at any of the events - but I need to go lots of places - so it'll have to be a one drink max for each location, I believe.

Sunday I am driving to Eugene with the international students. CGLA isn't going, and no, that wasn't my motivation. So there. I have a life.

I think I may have mentioned thinking that the night was a bust because I wasn't hanging out with him really, but there was definitely the hellos and goodbyes and then AB said that he occasionally looked at me during the night - good sign? I hope so.

I am so proud of AB. She is a pro at life.
