I just realized that this week is crazy full...
So Sunday was the game with Amelia, Gretchen, and Dani.
Monday was hanging out at Marstall with Valia, Magda, and eventually Anja when the play thing didn't work out.
Tuesday was the bar at Magda's.
Wednesday was:
Class at 2. Headed over there and Amelia informed me that the class was cancelled because Heuer is sick... hmmmm. We turned in our paper and the book and sat around outside for a while, went upstairs for a while, checked e-mails, read from www.girlsarepretty.com for a while... Wasted loads of time, and Amelia totally got hit on hardcore by this ridiculously tall african guy. He asked her out to drinks or dinner and she said she couldn't so he asked her if Monday night was better! Ha.
Went to the next class and found out that the Oral Exam would be 10 minutes on a theme of our choice... SWEEEEEET! I think I may choose to talk about only Aesthetic and Freedom in French vs. English Gardens... or I may compare the open vs. closed natures of Shakespearean vs. Greek comedies and tragedies... Freedom vs. Fate. That jazz. I read Oedipus, I might want to brush up on my Othello... Anyway, this should be better than I had feared. I can't do it the day he wants me to do it though... guh. I will still be in Berlin!!!
Speaking of that, today was the day I gave as a deadline for telling me when people wanted to come. I hope that someone tells me because I am making reservations TONIGHT.
Anyway, after that I had time, lost Amelia, so I went to H&M and found some cute pants I really want to buy... may go back and get those. Then I realized that my time was up and I headed back too Gretchen's for the Cannibal! The Musical party! We started out with food and snacks and talking, but when conversation got too out of hand (creepy kid used the word clitoris, I had told Gretchen before the party that that may cause me to leave...) but anyway, the conversation was absolutely hilarious. We watched the movie, which is a Trey Parker/Matt Stone thing, so obviously WONDERFUL. Then we talked a bit more afterward, wiped away the sweat (it was ridiculously hot) and headed home. I am sure I could go into more detail on conversations or something, but it is just too much. Got home and was pretty tired so I went basically immediately to bed.
Now I have class in about an hour and a half, must leave in about an hour, but I wasted all this time, because I have discovered that my summer in Germany routine is pretty... relaxed. I do all the cleaning the same, but then my makeup is minimal, my hair is easy, and I just throw on some clothes... it is kind of nice.
So, to continue the week of being ridiculously busy:
Thursday (today) is the Polish Stammtisch
Friday I always go out, and I think Sharon is coming along.
Saturday I think will be Pawel's birthday party, so that should be interesting.
Sunday I WILL take a day of rest. It will be necessary.
