(no subject)
so this has been quite the past few days...
friday i hung out with my friend jon, and we went to the city.. we ran into dave matthews on the avenue of the americas.. i didn't want to bother him much because he had his kids, but he is just so stunning up close. a little more happened but i'd like to keep that personal ;) :mmm: .. about 40 minutes later who do we see? stefan lessard! DMB's bassist! he was alone so we spoke to him a few minutes.. he was very nice, and very flirty! he gave me a hug and was just so sweet. i took a pic of jon & him.. didn't ask him to take 1 with me cause i didn't want to take up any more of his time.. what a fantastic day.
saturday charlie came over, and me, him, and jon took public transportation to randalls island. big mistake. getting there wasn't a problem, but if we drove like me and charlie wanted *cough JON cough* we would have got home much earlier than the 4am time we did. anyway.. we watched mike doughty, he was pretty good.. jem surprised me, her set was awesome.. went and hung out in our seats for ray lamontagne.. he sounded decent over the speakers though.. robert randolph & the family band ROCKED.. barenaked ladies were fun.. DMB ROCKED! jon hooked it up with 12th row seats which were awesome. the show was one of the best i've seen.. took us forever to get on a bus to get to the train to get home, but we made it!
sunday..drove and got to the show in 15 minutes!! i could have killed jon for the hell from the day before! while watching robert randolph jon brings me A BACKSTAGE PASS! bruce flohr (guy who signed DMB to RCA records) hooked it up BIG TIME. i got to hang out with robert randolph! i also saw dave and was right next to him by the fence and exchanged "hellos" and a wink ;) black eyed peas, mike doughty, and some MTV VJ's were also back there.. free food, free liquor, our own bathrooms.. HEAVEN I TELL YOU.. coolest experience EVER (other than meeting dave hehe). show was pretty good.. saturdays owned it, but everything else (lounge passes) owened everything saturday.
