(no subject)
I received my letter from MSU today. I've been accepted to the college of natural science for microbiology!! I'm really happy but I'm wondering if I didn't make a mistake in picking that major. I still have my heart set on vet tech. I don't know what to do!!! Is it too late to apply for that program!!?!??!!? I think I need to talk to my vet tech adviser now.
I love doing lab work. It feels fulfilling...like I have a purpose. All I want in life is to feel useful. I think vet tech would be an easier degree...but having a degree in an actual science might mean getting a higher paid job someday. I don't know. What do you guys think? Courtney? Laura? I would really love to hear your thoughts on this.
I have to go to a family function on Sunday. I detest going to these things...I get such a negative vibe from my aunts and uncles. It isn't in my head, my Dad and sister have noticed too. I think it is because my Mom made them all really angry last summer so now they won't talk to us. It is a long story so I won't divulge here. Anyway...looking forward to it.
I need people to practice drawing blood on!!! As horrible as that sounds, it is the truth. Nobody will volunteer except some of the girls at the lab. I really need to practice, I'm scheduled to do draws on people in two weeks! How the hell am I supposed to know what I'm doing without training? I guess I'll just act like I'm a pro...yeah, that's it. *worried look* If you happen to be in the area...say, around Ingham Regional Medical Center...and need blood drawn...don't..DON'T come to the PENN campus draw station. I will probably push the needle straight through your arm.
