I received a phone call from Ingham Regional Medical today. I got the job! Officially that is.
I will be working in their lab doing cultures, blood work, blood chemistries...fun things like that. I have to take a drug test tomorrow at some place called Quest Labs. I'm pretty sure I'll pass. *just kidding* I'm gonna pass. Then on Wednesday I need to submit myself to a physical. I can understand why, but jeeze what a pain!!! I need to dig out all my old immunization records...2004 was the year of shots for me. Let's see I had typhoid, yellow fever, polio, hep b, tetnus, flu all running through my veins. I don't know if Olin Health Clinic still has my records...I'll have to call MSU. Then there is this employee orientation. It's all day and most importantly we are PAID if we attend. I think I get my picture taken for my badge, and I'll be signing tax forms. Yay? I will definitely be investing in some scrubs. That's one thing I love about working at a hospital. Ya get to wear scrubs. It's like wearing pajamas. nice.
I'm kinda worried...I really don't think I'll get it, but I still haven't heard from MSU's plant research lab yet. Its still unknown if I got that job. We'll see what happens.
