I've pretty much lost my voice...damn virus or something of the like.
Looks like I've secured the hospital lab job. I'll be doing blood work and setting up cultures.
There is a pretty intense training regime to get my phlebotomy skills up to par. Let's just say I've never taken anyone's blood...if you don't count dogs or cats. I'm nervous.
I've taken over culturing at the lab. Everything needs fresh media and I think I might have Dr. Ivey order me up some fresh cultures of all 28 bugs. I'll have to pass the idea on to the head tech for approval. I'm getting really tired of waiting for the reply from MSU. When will I know? It's killing me.
It feels weird not doing media anymore. I hope we get another tech soon...I need help.
