Deadlines
I don't know where I heard it, if it was someone famous who said it or just an old saying whose roots are buried, but the idea of "work expanding to fill the allotted time" seems true. It is even spilling over into un-allotted time at my full and part-time jobs and the deadline to report information to the state is June 30th. So this upcoming week will be a hell week with 14 hour days. Starting yesterday and all week, Sunday included. So I'll miss Vespers today and probably liturgy tomorrow and in a worse case scenario an important event on next Saturday. That will not go over well. But seeing how things are going it might be for the best in the very short term.
I have made a mess of things.
But I found out, I have good friends.
