Lee walked through the dimly lit rooms of the Prometheus. A watcher might have thought him to be lost in his own thoughts, but in reality his every sense was on high alert, braced for signs of attack. He hadn’t made any effort to hide his arrival, and a response would come sooner or later.
Whatever happened though, he was going to get Shevon and

Love it--and love the whole scene with the therapist. Once upon a time, I studied psychology, and while I was more into human resources management, I know enough about PTSD to know that your therapist (and Lee) both sound very believable.
but this…this sounded sensible. Logical, even.
Hee.
Only Lee...
Oh, and I loved the backstory about why Lee became a pilot, as well...
Something warmed inside Zak at the words. Was that his father’s way of saying that the mutiny incident was firmly in the past, that all was well between them again? It felt like it.
Nice. I keep thinking that if Bill had had that discussion with Lee, it would have ended badly and they would have ended up misunderstanding one another, but Zak seems better at reading between the lines.
That said, looks like Lee might have learned a thing or two, considering the talk where his father asks how the sessions are going.
“No, it’s not,” she said sarcastically. “Because I’m just the CAG and you’re just a pilot.”

You know, I have the feeling I'm going to want to do that a lot in upcoming chapters... Especially since Scar is coming up.
“The world ended, and the rules changed with it.” We’re not a civilisation any more, and everything has to adjust accordingly.
Crossroads shoutout! Yay!
He’d take heed of the lesson. It was much better just to be alone.
Do you enjoy torturing Lee so? Do you enjoy breaking my heart? :)
I loved your take on the BM episode (and I'm glad this Lee isn't yet capable of murder).
So, is this going to be followed by the father/son discussion the show cheated us of?
Great job, as always!!

Oh thanks. Not having any experience of this area myself, that's reassuring.

Well yeah, but then in this AU Zak has ten years experience of dealing with his father (and of dealing with him as an adult) which Lee doesn't, and I think that makes a difference.
Plus I think this Lee has such a chip on his shoulder when it comes to Bill that he always jumps to the worst conclusion when dealing with him.

I think you probably will - there's a point at the end of one chapter where I want to throttle them both and I wrote it! But unfortunately that's how the characters are - complete emotional idiots when it comes to each other.
Yeah, couldn't resist a Crossroads shoutout. :)

Well, I felt that after I'd had this Lee make such strong arguments against killing Cain (he went farther than canon Lee did), that having him turn around and kill Phelan in cold blood just wouldn't make sense and totally undercut that earlier chapter.

Sorry, afraid not. But there is Bill and Lee stuff coming up (but not next chapter, because that's mainly about Kara).

Don't worry, you're doing fine, IMHO. I wouldn't be able to analyze someone suffering from PTSD or panic attacks, of course, but I know enough to know what's plausible and what's not... (I tend to remember TWW episode Noel when I need to write a character with PTSD, actually. If that helps, lol)
Sorry, afraid not.
*pouts*
Ah, well, I'll wait... And get ready to lock our pilots in a closet, considering what's next. :D
