Chapter Six
When Lee woke he was warm.
The sensation was so foreign it didn’t register at first. It was never warm in the cave. No matter how many blankets he wrapped himself in, he always woke cold and clammy.
Not today though. His back was still a little chilly, but his front was snuggled against something soft and warm.
He opened his eyes

Anyway, on to the chapter.
""Horrified, he pulled his hand away and swiftly retreated to a safe distance. How the hell had that happened? "" ~~
horrified I presume because that was exactly HOW he wanted to wake up. And probably figured she'd deck him for it if she'd woken first. :)
I love that only she is able to warm him, both literally and figuratively. I can't wait to see how that progresses. :) (and you're going away so I'll HAVE to wait - bad you!)
""There was utter conviction in his tone. How did his father manage to inspire such faith in people? Lee had never understood it. "" ~~ Definitely well said. That sums up the relationship right there. Lee doesn't understand how everyone else trusts his father blindly, so he has difficulty with it.
I like the Lee/Gaeta talk, and that Lee has been able to form some kind of friendship with someone. Gaeta's comment about him being friends with Dee longer than Lee was married to her was spot on too. I always thought (in the show) that Dee and Gaeta would hook up if the Billy thing didn't work out - the writers had them seem pretty close as friends. Too bad it didn't go that way ... :)
I'm not sure I'm looking forward to the scores ... definitely sounds grim. And why do I have a feeling Kara isn't going to approve? (if she finds out, which I'm guessing she will)
Good chapter. At least we get one more chapter before you go ...

Yep, that's pretty much spot on :-)
Lee doesn't understand how everyone else trusts his father blindly, so he has difficulty with it.
I also think it's that where everyone else sees Admiral Adama, Lee just sees his dad, so he doesn't see him as this infallible figure that everyone else does.
Glad you like Lee and Felix, I enjoyed writing their friendship - Lee really needs a friend in this story.
