Well, here it is finally, the sequel to Freedom.

This story is my offer of a diversion from the Lee/Kara angst of season 3…okay, so there is some angst in it but I promise an upbeat resolution :-)

If you haven’t read Freedom, or can’t remember what happened, here’s a quick recap:

That's why I don't find it believable, when Helo talks to Kara about Apollo as if knowing what's in her head. But that's just me and my pickyness. I hope you don't mind? If you do, tell me to shut up.

No, you're perfectly right. I completely agree that on-screen Helo has always seemed completely clueless about Kara and Lee. But in this story Kara needs a friend to talk to who knows about her feelings for Lee...there's a big scene about this later on...and Helo was the logical person to pick. so he's an AU Helo in that respect in this story.

Sam really doesn't know much about Kara - he tries to know her now, but you can never get totally separated from your past.

Great, just what I was trying to get across, as you'll see in chapter two.

Another thing I find very fitting is how Kara thought triad was about winning, but it really was about challenge. And who would better chalenge Starbuck, than Apollo?.

So glad you said this, I wasn't sure if that would come across from the triad (and the running bit) that she misses the challenge Lee gives her.

Twelve chapters, huh? I can't wait to read the next one.
