Trust you, cara, to prefer an aesthetically pleasing invention over an imminently practical one that (admittedly) has had an unforgivable effect on civil society, such as it is. You would surely prefer a world in which everyone was elegantly dressed and no one ever felt compelled to answer their phone in the middle of restaurant. I share your view, though unfortunately, my accountant does not.

You and your consort will be happy to note that I have located the spell you desire. It will, I must warn you, require us to travel to another world. A world of only good and evil, black and white, no gray. No music, no art, just champions roaming the countryside, fighting for justice.
As you can imagine, the place is overrun with untapped market potential. Maybe I can send all the cell phones THERE?
I always choose aesthetics over practicality, or else I would have remained with the Master instead of roaming the world with Angelus, no? It makes my life interesting.

You're a prince among men. I'll tell him at once; he had the completely misguided impression you would just pretend to try and never deliver results.
It does sound like a place for cell phones. And something out of a Boys' Own Adventure. Undoubtedly the two of you will love it. Tell me the champions run around in as little as possible, so I'll at least have something to oggle while we're...
...wait a minute. Kara! I can't leave Kara alone right now. If I do, she'll end up getting her body hijacked by another ghost or working for Wolfram and Hart by the time I come back. Damn.
I don't know, personally? I find it a little tiresome. But then, I'm only a part-time champion. I'm sure Angelus will like it -- among other things? He can sunbathe. The light in that dimension doesn't harm vampires. Though maybe we shouldn't tell him -- it might be fun to see him freak out.
And no worries about time. It's one of those Narnia effects. We shouldn't be gone more than ten minutes.
We can arrange it when Kara's at school -- when does she go to school, anyway?
School for Kara is something our dear fiancé Alan has pointed out to me I must arrange. Of course, I immediately saddled him with the scouting for suitable places and enlisting duties. At any rate, that probably means she's not at school during the next days... but she does visit the Meers & Wells duo for exercises in masochism, which usually takes two hours at least. Unfortunately, she doesn't exactly inform me of this days in advance. Could I call you on short notice?

See, this is why I'm lost without your technical expertise. I do have to pay per call.
The new place is fine. Kara and I were just shopping for painting and some other interior decorations. Let's just say we survived it. As for whether she still wants assistance, or wants to do it on her own, you're going to have to ask her - she did not mention it to me. But yes, I believe pink is still the favoured color scheme.
*now she can't stop herself*
I hear you've made some decorative changes in your own house?

Just how long will that journey take?

Always. You'll have to use one of those dastardly cell phones, though.
If you call the house, Piper might pick up, and I'd rather explain that one in person. Not that you did me the same favor re: Angelus.

Kara just gave me some interesting news, but I won't bring that up now; it might sound petty.

So how is the new place suiting you? Does Kara still need help with painting? Last I heard, she was going to pick out a pink.

So I heard. I'm sending you a new phone, and one for Kara.
And I have changed the house a bit. Mostly the kitchen.
