TM_challenge: Heart's desire
Heart's Desire: Think about something you once wanted so badly but never acquired. Write about how you think your life would've been different if you had received what your heart desired.
The list of things I've wanted badly but haven't acquired? Well, it's pretty damn short. There would be a few women on there. And I could write a nice little essay about what Cordelia is missing, but I'm almost completely over that, and anyway, I promised her to stop going on about it, even if she is still driving around in a car I paid for. But it's all going to come back to true love. The one girl who keeps getting away. And if I had managed to hold on to her -- the first time or the third or the twentieth? We'd both be dead by now.
Decide for yourself if that's better or worse. I've never been dead yet, so I couldn't tell you.
