Aw!

First we get Spinelli’s brain rambles and comparisons which is actually quite cute before it gets to the depressing, sitting alone at a bar stuff. But the set up is perfect and Spinelli is pining (he is a good piner) and Coleman is an unsympathetic backboard. Of course Diane showing up gives an automatic plus kajillion points to anything. There’s that bit of banter between her and Coleman that is true to character and hilarious, I can seriously imagine them trading lines as they stare each other down.

Diane is precious here, worried for him but not overbearing, offering to sue Maxie! Ha, and you know she totally would if he had said yes. But Spinelli being Spinelli isn’t about revenge and hey, he’s got another lovely visage of a woman in mind already. What I like about this is that Brook Lynn is there the whole time, yet at the same time distant until the decision is made for Spinelli to go over and what a perfect Spinelli greeting it is! “Nightingale”, I like that, and would not be at all surprised if that were the name he ended up giving her on the show.

Still not really familiar with her but in this she is quite likeable, not quick to dismiss or be impatient with Spinelli. And if a duet isn’t the best way to start a relationship, I don’t know what is. I think this is very sweet while, as usual, very true to the characters, from Diane and Coleman to Spinelli. I think it gives a good view of a Spinelli who is still a bit broken up over Maxie but not crippled or drowning in sorrow and ready to move on and finding this attractive woman with an attractive voice.

There’s also little fun parts that I like, like Brook Lynn wanting to know if he’s Italian and deciding she can worry about it later, lol, and Coleman’s bumbling attempts to give lady advice. Overall, two thumbs up! I could totally get behind this pairing on screen, seems like it would give Spinelli someone with similar interests and someone who would like to have a good time with him.

It's not like I bullied you into or anything either! adore your reviews because you actually talk about what you have read and then give your considered response to it. Thanks for thinking that I had Coleman, Diane and Spinelli down. It's always a question if I manage to attain that. Yeah, I know, me writing a quirky romantic oneshot, do I feel okay? LOL.
