I'm still all sore. And now, as well as a sore back and cramps, I also have the most awful tooth ache. So, I am sitting on my bed, watching Netflix and feeling sorry for myself. I was supposed to be going to my pals house for a few sunny evening drinks. But instead I feel like I'm dying. And because I am working again tomorrow, I thought it would be a good idea to try and get better. Can't really afford any time off. *sigh*
I did venture out today, thinking that the fresh air would do me good. I bought some books on Scottish Independence. Because Independence is going to be the biggest thing that will happen during my lifetime. Will Scotland stay part of the UK or do it alone? Whenever you read anything in the papers or watch it on the news, it always seems to be one sided, name calling, nonsense. And Facebook is just filled with snappy posters and twisted quotes on why the opposing side is lying and can't be trusted. I like to believe I am liberal but at the same time I am apathetic about the politics in this country. So why would those politicians I don't trust, be able to form a constitution I believe in and want to live by? One of the books I got looks into that side, and how the politics need to be repaired before the constitution can be changed. The other is on the side of independence, and looking at what a Scotland managed entirely by Scotland could be like. Trying to get a balanced look, so that I can make a fair decision.
I also went for a walk down the Glen (Pittencrieff Park) in Dunfermline, which was relaxing. It was full of tour groups, kids playing in the sun and a brass band playing. Very scenic. Very relaxing. Just not very good at taking away my pain. :( Oh wells, right. Kind of sucks that the weekend is done already though. Guess I'll finish OITNB and get a cup of tea. Living it up. LOL
