Feeling the pre-Christmas panic already. Well, not quite. When I say panic, I mean that I am beginning to stress about getting people gifts.
I love buying people presents, it makes me happy when I get something that will be useful, something that person wants. I hate the idea of getting something that will be disliked and even given to someone else. So, I think long and hard on what to get people for Christmas, so that it will be something needed, no matter the size. So, despite wanting to do housework, I spent the day building lists on Amazon for gifts that I am looking to get people. Like a Robbie Williams CD for my mum, a British Lions DVD and photo for my dad. They aren't the complete gifts, but little things are okay, if it something that hits a person's interest.
I haven't actually purchased anything yet, although all the bits are there to start the process. As much as I say that gift buying stresses me, I enjoy it when I get the gift right, and a person is happy with what they have. So, my list building will continue for the next few days, and i'll start buying them. The best thing is the pick-up service at work means that I can pick stuff that I order from Amazon up, rather than risk someone collecting their present when it is delivered. So hopefully that works okay. Shame that my discount won't come into play for another month. That might be cutting it a bit fine.
